Heavy footsteps walked on the plank that was pushed out onto the Feather Flyer. The crew had their swords drawn, waiting for battle to commence.

  Ren, in her stead fast stance, was ready for whomever was to come off the ship. A dark shadow of a large man stepped on board. He wore a black coat with grey under clothes, his hat was long and looked heavy, he wore brass buckles on his boots and all his cuff links were pure silver. As he stepped onto the ship, John Broken lifted his long bearded chin and chuckled. 

 "Well, what do we have h'er? Is dis de boat of the mighty Cap'm White Wren? I been lookin' for ya." He shifted his head from one side of the ship to the other. "Well? Where is he?" John Broken walked around, studying the crew members and Nico. 

 "I believe you are looking for me sir?" Ren stepped toward the large bulk of a man, who towered over her. 

 "Yer? Yer Cap'm White Wren? Please, yer just a silly lit'l wench. Although, I'd be happy to take ya 'board my ship, the crew and I could take real pleasure outta yer." He said with a sneer. 

 Captain Ren cringed at the idea. She held her breath. She calmly looked up at the inferior captain and replied, "Excuse me sir, but I would never do anything for a no good, lily - livered, galley slave, rapscallion, scabby sea bass of a pirate captain who cannot even speak to a proper lady like you. I'd much rather stay on my own ship, defending it from horrid little sea urchins." She plainly smiled at the dun - founded John Broken. 

 "Why, yer rotten wench! I ought to - " He pulled out his sword and swung it at the captain. However, before he could take his blow, Ren caught his arm, twisted it around his backside, and apprehended him on his knees. 

 She bent over his shoulder and whispered, "If you ever call me a wench again, I will take your own sword and slit your hideously corrupted throat. Understand?" She pushed the heavy man away from her.

 Captain Broken stood up straight and gave Ren a dirty but surrendered look. "How dare ya put yer hands on me." He muttered. He looked around at the other people on the deck. Certain crew members were trying not to break down laughing at the embarrassed Captain. "Yer all a bunch 'o fools. Ya don't deserve dis 'ere ship!" He took his pistol and shot it up in the air. "Dat's why I'm gonna take it from ya!" Men came from all around, down onto the feather flyer. They swung in on ropes from John Broken's pirate ship. 

 "It was an ambush!" Nico yelled as he drew out his dagger and prepared to fight along side the rest of the crew. 

 "Men! Be prepared to fight." Ren called.
