I guess for me, dandelions are my favorite plant. Yes, not only are they edible, but I remember standing in a field FULL of dandelions. It was so beautiful, it was like standing in a field of stars.
There are a lot of metaphoric meanings in this story, but if I write them down, it'd be an essay. I'll try to simmer it down to 3 points.
1)We can let others do the judging, but its up to us to decide the truth (just like the little girl).
2) Dreams aren't meant to last forever. Just like how the dandelion has limited time to remain a flower. But we can pass our dreams as inspiration to others, spread it like the dandelion seed. Once the seed grows, a new dream grows.
3) Loneliness, like any type of pain, creates a gateway for you to learn and grow. It teaches you how to enjoy and appreciate the moments you are around others. So when the plant says, "I am the loneliest flower in the world," it is appreciating itself. Though it may hurt to be alone, it’s those thoughts and those feelings that make you stronger. Life’s cruelest irony.
