Eli looked down and off to the side. He had messed up. He had misunderstood so many things. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to imply that You would need me or anyone to do anything for You.” He took a deep breath and let it out slowly, thinking for a few seconds. “I am ready. Ready to learn what it is You truly have for me. Ready to know who I really am. I realize now that I always compared myself to others because I was unsure of where my own gifts and talents lie. But whatever You made me, whoever You made me, must be pretty great. Not to compare myself to other people,” he said as he looked over to his friends, “but if I am friends with a literal angel, and whatever jock Matt apparently is, then I can’t wait to see what my soul’s true form will be like. No matter what that might be. So please,” Eli stood straight, proud and self confident, “use me for whatever work you have. Even if it’s not flashy or important, any use by You would be an honor and a privilege.” The being smiled. “I have waited a long time to hear those words from you. And to feel their sincerity.”
At that moment a small purple cat ran in between them and sat down, looking up at the being clad in white. “A cat? What is a cat doing here?” Eli asked completely confused. “You really should get to know your friends better Eli.” The man lowered his hand and the cat cocked its head to the side before jumping into it. “Well hello there young Cade. Looks like you are getting close to unlocking your powers. Did Dan and Matthew help you get in here?” The cat purred as the man stroked along its back. “Wait wait wait. Cade? That cat is Cade?” “Well yeah. Cade’s known his true nature was a cat for years. Although he took it in a very strange direction. But this is the first time he’s entered to Spirit Realm though. I bet he feels really comfortable right now.” Cade leaped up on the man’s shoulder and wrapped his body around the man’s neck. “Ok. That’s just weird,” Eli admitted. “Oh, you should see the ones that are birds or lizards. The animal spirits tend to be pretty clingy.”
The being placed both his hands on Eli’s shoulders, tone getting back serious but relaxed. “Now Eli, walk into your power. Learn it and all its facets. You are powerful beyond your own comprehension. Use this power well. Think on this and it will come to you: I am a being of ultimate power. Who uses whomever He wills. My will is absolute. My way is perfect. I am holy. And my light shines on all who exist in every world that exists. Be that beacon of light. Be the wielder of that light. Let My light empower you and use it to show the worlds My glory. You live to show the world My glory. Do you accept?” Eli knelt before the being. “I do.” “Then let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works.” As Eli heard those words, the scripture spoken by God Himself, he was filled with warmth and energy. The irises of his eyes shown white and bright and the next thing he knew, he was looking up at the ceiling from the floor.
“You better get going too, Cade. But try not to intrude on other people’s time in the Spirit Realm unless you have their permission to do so. It could be crazy or even dangerous in here.” “Yes sir,” Cade said and jumped off the man’s shoulders and headed back to his friends.
The man dawned a big smile.
“This is going to be fun.” And with a flash of brilliant white light, He was gone.
