One day there will be rainbows

Chapter 12

Chapter 12

Nov 22, 2020

Usually going into school after my parents touch me is the same. Whispers, stares, but no one dare to speak to me. I took my seat in the back waiting for class to start and go on with my day. Dustin suddenly walked up to take his seat next to me. I turned my head to hide my face, though not quick enough before Dustin could catch a glimpse. Hi

s eyes went wide. He went to speak, luckily for me the teacher started class. I was working on my work went I get slipped a note.

“Hey what happened?!?!? Did you parents do this? Why did you not call me or come over! Are you okay?!”

I peer over at him and whisper that I'm fine. He does not look to convinced though.

“It looks worse than it is. Promise I'm fine. It's my fault anyways. I left the house and did not return until yesterday. It was on me.”

“River you look horrible! Don’t say it was your fault, no parent should treat their kids like this. It's up to parents to protect their kids, not hurt them!”

“Dustin keep it quiet this is not a place to talk! Can we just wait till lunch please? I promise I'll talk then.”

“Are you sure you won't avoid me?”

“Yes, now please let's just do our work.”

Is this my shortest chapter, yes. Can you even count it as a chapter, probably not.
OK also THANK YOU SO MUCH TO MY FAVORITE AUTHOR ON HERE. They have helped me so much with my writing.
Please go check out their novel Don't Touch. There is also a sequel that already has chapters being posted called letting go.

Here is the description for Don't touch-

Michael spent five years dealing with his disorder: haphephobia. Afraid to be touch. Afraid of stepping out of his home to enjoy a normal life. After moving to a new school, Michael has to challenge himself again from the beginning, but now with help from his new friend Elliot.

Status: Complete

Disclaimer: trigger warning. The novel goes through disorders that can be triggering and sensitive for viewers.

Though I won't put the description for letting go just in case you decide to read don't touch.
