The world seemed to stand still, People seemed to walk, live, and exist in a slowed and monotonous way. Before suddenly coming to a halt in an abrupt manner, like time itself had been stopped. Dirt, dust, and other forms of detritus clouded into the air as a foot stomped on the ground. The shape of a man roughly two meters tall blotted out the sun with his silhouette. He had long messy black hair. Red eyes and a face that screamed of “Mess around and find out” He scowled and grabbed the knapsack next to him.
“Thank you, I couldn’t stand all your noise” The man spoke, rubbing the back of his head. A wave of dread shot through the figure, as loud footsteps sounded behind him. The dread wormed its way to his heart as if someone had taken a blade and jammed it directly into his chest. He turned around and locked eyes with the figure behind him. The man stumbled backward. This figure looked like a walking corpse. Bloodstained black hair, dead and glazed black eyes. Dirt stained clothing. It was as if this person had walked straight from the grave.
“Names Akira” The corpse suddenly spoke, pushing the man out of his way.
“Oi, how the hell did you stop Dali?”
“Didn’t even notice you activated your Mythos” Akira, the corpse smirked watching the man get visibly frustrated and pissed off.
“I’ll have you know I’m an Aspect of the Inner Eye, I’m Ryan Alizia”
“Yeah and I’m Santa Clause” Akira continued walking to a destination he didn’t know, what he was looking for who knows.
“Oh, You little shit!!” Ryan grumbled holding out his hand. A small sparkly glint swarmed around his fingers. A large broadsword of European design appeared in his hand. He swiped at the air and a large blade-like gust effortlessly cleaved through Akira’s head. Blood sprayed into the air before landing on the ground in rows of several crimson dots. The head that had been separated from the body rolled on the ground for a few feet before disappearing in a plume of red smoke.
“It's pointless” Akira spoke shaking his head and continuing on his path. “Plus I’m not the type of guy you want to piss off” Akira looked over his shoulder. “But I should remember I’m dealing with an Aspect of the Inner Eye” He chuckled lowly and scoffed.
“If it’s a fight you want I’ll take you-”
“YOU’LL DIE!!!” Akira shouted, stopping his tracks. A whirlwind of anger and malice rippled through the town. Houses were demolished and people were exploded from the sheer presence of Akira’s rage. Painting the town red and leaving it looking like a scene from Pickman’s model. Blood, intestines, and several corpses littered the now destroyed town “I don’t have time to deal with a guy who can’t kill me, Goodbye”
“Semiramis” Ryan spoke under his breath. His frightened breath exiting his body in one long foggy wisp.
“You really don’t know when to quit do you” Akira shook his head and placed his palms together. “Practitioner of Immortality and Grace reside in me and allow me strength” Akira’s eyes went alight with a bright orange hue. All the youth in his body seemed to drain as he finished his incantation. “SANAT: ETERNAL LIFE AND A GLOWING SMILE!!!!!”
“A F-Full Release, you’re insane”
“No I’m Akira,” he said appearing from the shadows behind Ryan. Sweeping out Ryan’s legs he brought the man to a freefall. Suddenly he Planted his feet, swung his fist, and connected it against Ryan’s spine. As the punch connected with Ryan, all the joint’s in Akira’s arm shattered before instantly healing and reforming. Every time his Joints reformed he took a step into the punch. Adding more strength behind the punch, finally, when the punch was at its zenith of power, he put his back into it. Akira’s punch filled with all the anger, malice, and hatred he had felt in his years of life sent Ryan rocketing away at incalculable speeds. As Ryan sped through the air. Akira came from above bringing his fist down into Ryan’s face. The tremendous force of Akira’s punch sent Ryan flying into the ground. His head connected against the ground, as did his body soon after. Ryan stood up, his legs buckling and wobbling as he did. He cackled like a deranged hyena. His head shot backward as laughter, uproarious, and demonic laughter poured from him.
“What’s so funny?” Akira asked before suddenly collapsing to the ground blood pouring from his eyes, ears, mouth, and nose. He clutched his throat, as his windpipe continued to tighten. Akira shot a glare at Ryan who wore the most shit-eating grin the world had ever seen.
“Man boss wasn’t kidding this is a powerful Mythos”
“Can’t Believe a Partial Release b-brought me to my knees” Akira coughed up a large amount of blood. His vision going blurry as if looking through the end of a bottle. Akira’s eyes went blank and he fell silent falling face first into the soft dirt. He remained motionless for a few moments. Blood pooling around him.
“Oh I did it, I k-Killed someone” Ryan stumbled, falling on his rear and laughing. Akira stirred before weakly standing up.
“Damn you took two lives from me, that’s the only props i’ll give you!” all the blood that Akira lost was drawn back into his body. It was like watching a vhs in reverse, the blood swam through the air towards Akira. He popped his neck and smiled. “That’s better”
“What are you?!!!”
“What am I?” Akira shrugged his shoulders, grabbing his knapsack and turning away. “I’m a Magi”
“Aren’t you going to fight me more?”
“I have no interest in a Guy who can’t end my eternal life”
“But You said if I fought you I would die”
“Yes, I did but I changed my mind”
“Prove it then” Ryan shouted at Akira. In the space of nothing more than a few seconds. Akira was in Ryan’s face with his fist mere inches away. Akira’s fist trembled with rage. A certain animalistic fear activated in Ryan’s mind. He jumped back and huffed his eyes dilating and his breathing became erratic as he dropped to his knees.
“What do you feel, kid?” Akira glared down at Ryan, his eyes pierced into the boy’s very soul. “Answer me kid, what do you feel!” Akira continued to glare daggers at the boy. Ryan looked up at the disheveled and dirty man.
“F-F-Fear”
“And what kind of fear?”
“Fear of Death”
“There’s your proof,” Akira said, shaking his head, swearing under his breath. “For your health don’t doubt what I say” Akira left without another word. As he walked the sun began to hang low. The blood-red sun that hung in the sky, cast a devilish shadow over the small rustic town. Akira walked silently into the horizon. Ryan looked on astonished, his body still on high alert. Akira turned and looked back one last time. His long poncho blowing in the wind. He extended his hand.
“I’ll cut you a deal kid, come with me and maybe I’ll fight you again”
Slowly Ryan got to his feet and followed after Akira. The two walking towards the Blood-red horizon together. To find whatever there was to find in a life that won't end. Akira smirked as the wind howled behind him. This was the start of a very bizarre journey.
