Raziel frowned as he leans on Rhydian for balance, his legs weaken by the suffocating atmosphere. "So this is how it feels." He glanced at Aude who's currently snuggled in Rhydian's hold. If this is how he is feeling, what about the little witch?
'Are you feeling okay?' He used the mind link to talk to the bundle of fur. 'Raz, I'm getting sleepy.' The little creature purred as his lids flutter close, the energy sucking atmosphere made him drowsy.
"Master?" Rhydian wrapped his arm around Raziel, steadying him. "No, call me Raz here." He answered weakly. Rhydian huffed as he use his vampire strength to lift 'Raz'. "This won't do. I think the both of you are in shock because of the limiter's presence."
For the first time in a while, Raziel is the one who snuggled into someone's hold. The coven lord hid his face into the crook of Rhydian's neck, inhaling his sweet comforting scent. The little vampire shadow walked to the second floor, wanting to put Raz to bed as soon as possible. "Good thing Kalhil bought an estate near the castle decades ago." He mumbled as he opens the door to the designated room.
As soon as Raziel's back touch the bed, he pulled Rhydian beside him along with the sleeping kitten. "My apologies for worrying you. I just need a bit of blood." He breathed against Rhydian's neck, making the vampire shiver while glancing at the little creature, worried it might wake.
The little vampire moaned as fangs penetrated his skin, drawing out his sweet blood. "Being outside like this, with us parading your scent. Levant will be here any minute now." Raziel licked the skin clean, as he stares at the panicked vampire.
"I'm okay. Let me fix our little kitten." He reached for the little one placing it on top of his lap. Raziel glanced around the room, feeling a presence approaching them at the speed of light.
"He's almost here." He whispered as he reached for his braided hair, loosening it to take a couple of strands. In a blink, Raziel managed to cut a couple, tying it around Aude's little neck like a raven bow.
"This will stabilize him, and completely mask hi. . ." A loud bang echoed as 5 hooded strangers enter through the window. Shattered pieces of glass flew in every direction, the twin got up in a flash, avoiding it.
"Hahhhh. Rhydian Night you silly fool. You managed to escape?" The red hood slip off his head revealing a light blonde with golden streaks of hair. His pale skin glows as he approach with a deadly look, looming with an intimidating aura. It's as if his reddish orange orbs burns in fiery red as he glares at the twin in front of him.
Raziel staggered for a moment as he stares at the person he once wholeheartedly adored. Levant Adaire Nox in the flesh. Young and cruel as ever. The two glanced at each other before falling to their knees. "I'm back my lord." Rhydian trembled, trying to sell Raziel's plan.
"Charmed." Levant's cold sarcastic voice electrocuted Rhydian's being. The overbearing king lifted his hand as he voice out 'Ela Edo' forcibly pulling both of them right under his nose.
This unexpected ability shocked Raziel down to his core, his head lowered, afraid his expression will expose them. 'Magic?!' Trying to mask this complicated feeling, Raziel breathes in, coyly glancing up to see Levant observing them.
"What's that bundle of cotton doing in your arms?" He addressed Raziel with a doubtful look. "Hahhhhh. Little Rhydian Night, looks like you have a twin? Such a charming sight the two of you. Name?" Raziel bit his lips as he fight the anger inside of him.
"It is Raz, my king." Levant tilts his head as he reach for a strand of Raz's hair, letting it slip through his fingers. "Such a curious thing. How did you suddenly get a twin?"
Rhydian also raise his head, "My lord, we just found out by chance back there." The little vampire reasoned as he omitted the word 'coven', fearing it might trigger Levant's wrath.
"Well, that's rather convenient? Like how the both of you are out here. VERY convenient." Levant uttered 'Istirio', a torture incantation, drawing out an ear deafening scream from the twins. He laugh cruelly as he saw them squirm in pain.
"We managed to escape!" Raz screamed as tears run down his cheeks, his hands trying to hide the little creature in his robes. "Hahhh. Escape? After that taunting from that. . . Alithea!" Levant compelled the twins for the 'truth', his head held high with a posture boasting a twisted magnificence.
"We escaped for you, my lord." The both of them said in unison making Levant halt his incantations with a wave of his hand. The arrogant king scoffed as he looks down at the coughing pair. "Bring them." He ordered his men as he disappears.
The twins sighs in relief as they hold each other's hands. Rhydian glanced at Raz, worried he might've overexerted himself trying to counter that last incantation.
"Get up" The hooded men grabbed their arm roughly dragging them. Raz bit his lip as he tried to control himself, 'don't fight back, don't fight back'.
'Hey Raz? What's going on?' He heard Aude speak through a mind link. 'Keep calm my dear, just rest that sleepy head.'
With Aude's help, Raz finally got a hold of his sanity, coyly glancing at the hooded vampire man-handling him. Under the hood, red ruby orbs with specs of yellow glared at him. Raz pretended to trip on his own feet, perfectly landing on the man's chest, his hand strategically placed on the guy's firm chest.
"S. . .sorry" he shyly said, giving the chest a slight squeeze. The guy glared at him as he picks up the little vampire treating him like a hay stalk.
The four vampire dashed out of the broken window, and shadow walked on top of the roof as they carry the twins as if luggage.
Seeing the middle core of Noxgimenos after 500 years felt foreign. A lot has change making Raziel frown as he notice the bustling street. Vampires walking amongst the crowd with an air of arrogance. The witches cowering as they lower their head, the black strap over their neck showing, Raziel raised his brows at the familiar contraption.
A black strap that looks so much like the choker they used back in the days for convicted witches. The social hierarchy of this generation is as clear as day. Witches constricted of their craft, while vampires proudly show their superiority.
'If the late king saw what happened to his country. . . How could Levant rule amongst a country founded by witches with such treatment? This is just blatant discrimination.'
Their captors moved in a speed of light as they brave the distance, finally arriving at the castle's borders. The protection dome of the inner core glints with a golden shift, as the four nimbly landing in front the castle's lattice grill portcullis[1]. A sound of metal clank filled the air, as the heavy fortification lifts up, allowing them entrance.
The four dashed upwards, leaping through the golden lamp post. "You guys sure took your time." Raziel gaped at the person waiting for them at one of the castle's balcony. The hooded vampires landed on the rail, throwing the twins to the ground. It happened as if in slow motion, his eyes focused on one person.
The twins let out an 'oomf' as they roughly land on their knees. Raziel stayed there motionless, not minding the pain, still doubting his eyes.
"Rhydian Night, we need to talk".
