"Tekashi! Help me! Please!"
Tekashi woke up in a sweat.
He sighed and said "Just another dream."
He got up and got ready but not before wincing a bit from his healing injuries. It's only been two days since the incident and Tekashi had to move to a nearby motel. Today he decided to do some more magic training to be able to find Maeda. He closed the door behind him and waved goodbye to the receptionist as he walked out the door. As he began to walk to the park, someone came up from behind him.
"Yo! Wassup Ruddol my man?" Said Fawth.
"Oh hey. I'm just headed to the park to practice some magic." Said Tekashi. "Oh, and you can just call me Tekashi. I made Ruddol up."
"Sweet! Hey, this is my sister, Tala. She's the most adorable thing in the world but pretty deadly if you make her mad." Said Fawth as a little girl peered around his legs.
"Aww. Hi there! My name is Tekashi. Can you say Tekashi?" He asked her.
"T..Tek..mhm...I dunno." She said.
"How about you call me Tekki? Is that easy to say?" He said.
"Tek..ki. Tekki. Tekki!" She said as she giggled.
"Can we go to the park with ya?" Asked Fawth.
"Eh, why not? If it means spending more time with this cutie then I'm in!" He said as he gave her a head pat.
"Wait don't-" Fawth said.
Before he could finish his sentence, Tala grabbed Tekashi's hand and bit it.
"Ow! What did I do?" He asked.
"She only lets certain people touch her. Anyone else unfortunately feels her wrath." Fawth said.
"Oh alright. Let's go." Said Tekashi.
Once they got to the park, Tala ran over to play on the playground and Fawth pulled Tekashi aside.
"Hey. I haven't seen Maeda around. You know anything?" He asked.
Tekashi looked at the ground and then back at Fawth.
"Didn't you see the news about the hotel that collapsed? She and I were staying there. I'm here. She isn't. But for some reason, I think she's alive out there somewhere." He explained.
"Gotcha. So we just gotta find her then." Fawth said optimistically.
"Uh, well yeah I guess." Tekashi said.
"Let's hone your magic some more." Fawth said.
Meanwhile, Tala was amassing an army. Due to her cute but devious nature, she lured some boys into her trap to make them do whatever she wanted. She walked up to the slide but another boy pushed her aside. She faked some tears and pointed to the boy who pushed her and her army swiftly ran over to beat him up. She turned around and walked away with a smirk. A few hours later, Tekashi and Fawth finished training and called Tala over so they could leave. A few boys followed her but before Fawth could say anything she turned around and made a mean face. The boys shrank away back to the playground and Tala turned back around and gave a big smile.
"Uh, I'm a little concerned about what she is learning." Tekashi said.
"Don't worry man! Now let's get something to eat." He said.
The three of them went to eat at a nice restaurant and then parted ways at Tekashi's motel. As he closed the door, Tekashi fell on his bed and drifted off to sleep.
"Maybe tomorrow I'll go to another class…" he said before losing consciousness.
The next morning he headed to the institute to talk to Professor Drinx.
"What can I do for you, my boy?" Drinx asked.
"Do you think I could come to another class to learn some more about magic?" He asked him.
"Hahaha! Of course! You are always welcome in this classroom. We will start in an hour." Said Drinx.
To pass the time, Tekashi decided to look around the institute since he didn't get a chance the last time he was there.
"Wow. This place is bigger than it looks." He said.
He walked past some paintings and observed some old writings.
"'All ye who choose, pull the book from thy glass and ye shall receive unimaginable power.' Huh, what does that mean?" He said as he read a statue's description.
There sat a thick glass orb with an odd book in the middle.
Just then Drinx passed by and said "Ah I see that the orb has caught your attention."
Tekashi turned around.
"Yeah. What exactly is it?" He asked.
"A long time ago an expert sorcerer put this book deep within this glass orb due to its overwhelming power. However, he knew the potential good it could do so he cast this challenge upon it so only the right person could wield it." Explained Drinx.
"Do you think I could try to get it out?" Tekashi asked.
"Hahaha! I'd love to see you try, my boy!" Drinx said.
Just before Tekashi could take a crack at it, the bell rang and Drinx held up his hand.
"Looks like it'll have to wait. Classes have been dismissed and I've got some work to do." Said Drinx as he walked away.
Tekashi sighed and headed home.
"I wish I could've taken one shot at that orb." He said.
He walked into his hotel and rode the elevator up to his floor. As he walked inside his room there was a letter on the floor. He picked it up and opened it.
The letter said "Your power is very interesting. I want to make a deal with you. If you do something for me I will return something of yours. Meet me in the south park tomorrow at nine o'clock. If you don't come then I will bring death."
