Waking Up
I slowly opened my eyes as a bright light, that seemed to be covered by a purple blanket, hit my face. I slowly rose as a familiar voice called out to me.
"How're you feeling?" they asked. "You passed out right before we took you here. Your injuries were prettyy bad."
"Holy shit...what did you do to me!?" I screamed in fear.
"We simply closed your wounds." They replied. "You probably would have died if it weren't for us. The name's Andrea."
I suspiciously answered, "Destiny. I'm looking for a boy, about my age.. white hair and light, ocean colored eyes..."
"Well, I haven't seen anything or anyone like that so far, but I can always help you look!" She responded.
"Why... why would you help me?" I asked. It didn't make sense to me that anyone would be nice to a random 13 year-old, or at least at the time.
"I just happen to have some free time, and he sounds like he may be of some use..!" she responded. "Me and my friends are pretty resourceful when it comes to this... we'll be using a foreseeing spell to predict his future, and we'll find him there."
"Why can't you just find out where he is in real time, or even just summon him?" I said in confusion. I was new to the world of magic, and even demons for that matter.
"Spells like that are much stronger than a group of teens can handle... it would just be too draining when we can do it an easier way." Andrea explained. "The amount of magic a being can use depends on their hierarchy in the supernatural percentage. Beings like pure demons can use huge amounts of magical energy, but people with a simple ability only have about 25% more energy that regular humans."
I still didn't understand, but I had an image of what she meant. Depending on how abnormal you were, you had more magic energy you could use for witchcraft, which explained why wizards and witches are the only humans that can use magic. It's because they have a very large amount of replenishing magic energy at birth.
Freezing Cold
Victor shivered as he rose out of at least 2 feet of snow. "This is bullshit..." He groaned to himself. His right arm was severely cut and bruised, and his eyes were watery. He felt a burning sensation in his chest though, which caused him to feel cold while hot. He"d never felt this before, but as he tried to keep warm, his ponytail lit on fire.
"What!? Shit, shit, shit..." The fire didn't hurt, in fact it made him feel warmer. He didn't realize why this was happening until the cold bit through his coat. Wait... the only person I've seen have a fire lit on their hair like this was... his own father.
When a demon king's child is born, they are to be named king at age 13. Once the clock hits the hour of the minute the child was born, their father fades away and the child is named king. When their father passes on, he leaves his unique for his child, and his child's unique ability passed on to their child, and as a cycle, this keeps going on.
"So... cold..." Victor mumbled to himself. He could barely stand up, as the harsh snow blew all around him. The tiny spark lit on his hair wasn't going to keep him warm, and he knew that sooner or later, he'd die. A shadowy figure then walked up to Victor, and changed his life forever.
