Hello Everyone!

Sorry I took so long to reveal the results of this year’s Inksgiving😅 The past two months in general have been full of more downs than ups, but as one of my favorite Disney movies says, Keep moving forward!

I thought that in addition to announcing the results I would do a fun little Q&A, so I asked some readers what questions they had about Blue Lagoon and came up with a small list of questions. So, thank you all once again for subscribing and supporting me! Y’all are one of the few things keeping me moving forward and I can never say thank you enough💝

How did you come up with this story? 

Brontes and Svane are OCs from a project that I’ve been (slowly) working on since the summer. And, as the poll lover I am, on Twitter I made them an option for the kink “Master/Slave.” And to my surprise (and joy), they won (I’d had fan fic ships for the other choices)! I decided to make Brontes the vampire because his character in the main story doesn’t fit the stereotypical image of a vampire, and I thought it’d be fun to tap into the crueler side of him. 

Do you plan on continuing this story?

So, since this is an AU, I technically am continuing their story, just not in this universe… However, since I went over my ink goal(🤯), I am writing a holiday themed fic of them in this universe! And again, I ran a poll on my Twitter, and those that voted wanted a release on Christmas Eve. So, be on the lookout🎄!

How long does it take you to work on a project? 

This project took me about a month, but usually it takes MUCH longer. I have to do the actual writing and some days that’s easier than others. Then there’s editing and I have this thing where I cannot stand to read my own work LMAO. I then send it to test readers and then make edits based on their suggestions, and finally, finding and affording artist(s) to commission for scenes and the cover. Which, speaking of covers, see the author’s note!

Do you have a favorite character? 

I think Brontes started out as my favorite character, but now I really vibe with Svane. He’s just so complex and it’s fun to discover all the different sides of him. That goes for their main story and this AU. Though, there is a goofball in the main story that’s becoming a favorite and I can’t wait to introduce y’all to them🤗

When will your next project be released? 

My next project will be The Burdens We Hide, which I’ve already released Chapter I: Part One due to reaching my ink goal! I’m thinking it will be set to release in January, so make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss the official release💖

How exactly was Brontes turned into a vampire? 

He was born in ancient Greece, and the woman who took him under her wing was a vampire. She used some of the same vampire powers that Brontes uses on Svane to get him to trust her. And because he trusted her wholeheartedly, he didn’t see any “warning” signs. He really thought he loved her, and that she loved him. And after he’s turned, he bides his time before exacting his revenge. 

Has Brontes ever been in love? 

Yes, he was in love with his maker before he knew her true nature. After he gets his revenge though, he closes his heart off. Or tries to. Brontes is a lover by nature, and every so often he develops strong feelings for the men and women that come into his life. Especially once he starts “hiring” his food through an agreement similar to what he has with Svane. But, even then, he never crosses that line of being in love. Or will he😈
