Lunch time. A cafeteria full of judgmental, drama filled teens and pre-teens.
While i'm waiting for Lauren to pack her stuff, two girls walk up to us, a mixed girl with a bun and a Five Nights at Freddie's hoodie, and a pale girl with a fluffy, velvet red jacket, and a big forehead. Not that i’m being mean, but its just what stood out to me when she walked up to us.
“Who’s this?” The mixed girl said to Lauren. “This is Kat, she’s new.” Lauren responded. The mixed girl told me her name was Haley. “And this is Gabby.” she said. Gabby. I knew a Gabby, i miss her so much. Hearing her name made me want to cry. But i didn’t. We all leave class together, me walking slightly behind everyone else. I do this to inspect them, to read them. Based on how a person acts, you can see their personality traits.
Gabby squeals. “He wrote i love you on the calculator today!” she says. I wanted to ask who, but it’s none of my business. “He’s playing you, Gabby.” Haley says. Gabby rolls her eyes and skips down the hall. She’s definitely an airhead. No offense to her appearance, but the shoe fits. The teacher tell us to be quiet in the halls cause people still have class going on.
I follow Lauren into the cafeteria. Lunch time. A lot of kids. As i walk in, i look around, and see a cute tan boy, he has glasses, fluffy, curly hair, and a red hoodie on. “He’s cute but he seems like the average player.” i think to myself, best not get involved. We meet eyes. I smile and wave, i don’t want to seem awkward staring at him, he smiles back.
I sit next to Lauren, shes busy pulling out her sketchbook and lunch. I sit there inspecting everyone, thinking about the personality traits i can see. This school isn’t as bad as my old school made it out to be.
After awhile, Haley and Gabby come back and sit down. “You’re in my seat” Gabby says. “Oh sorry!” i start to stand up. She tells me its fine and sits next to Haley instead. A boy walks over. He has long brunette hair, and he’s short. He starts talking to Haley. I’m not listening tho, i’m inspecting everyone. I keep staring at the boy with glasses. He stands out to me. He seems hyperactive, your usual popular boy.
The rest of this is boring, kids chattering and being loud. I hate loud sounds, i hate loud noises. I want to cover my ears. Every time i hear someone yell, i flinch a little.
After all of this, the bell rings, we head back to class to get our stuff for the next class, everyone had First elective, i have gym.
