We ran for at least half an hour before the man stopped following us. We wanted to go back in that direction to get our stuff but it was too dangerous. We were both very thirsty tho, and we didn't have any water.
We'd also have to stay in our wolf form because we had no clothes.
The longest we've been in wolf form was only a day or two, this was going to be tough. But first we need to find some water. I went ahead of Liam and started to walk him following behind. We walked for a few minutes before I signaled for him to stop.
I listened for any sign of water. Very faintly I could hear rushing water. It was south- east, so not to far out of the way. I started walking towards it and Liam followed.
We walked for a few minutes before we cam upon a river, it had about a five foot high waterfall further upstream. Liam and I both drank for several minutes before we stopped, took a breath and drank for a few moments more. Once our stomach's were full of water we layed down next to each other for a few minutes.
It was going to be tough, not being able to change out of wolf form, I mean of course we could if it was an emergency, but without clothes we would freeze, especially during the night. I nudged Liam to start moving again, and once again I took the lead heading south.
The first few hours were easy. We were used to walking long distances, but usually not in wolf form. Our wolfs were a little weak from lack of use, but still very strong. We walked until the sun was almost completely set. We huddled up under a tree and layed down.
I hoped we would find a better place before night but we needed our supplies. Today went so wrong, but were safe, I guess that's all that really matters.
I cuddled around Liam, making sure he stays warm as I drift off into sleep.
I woke up to rustling in the woods. It was still dark. I got up, careful not to wake Liam. I heard the rustling sound again. I sniffed the air.
It was something I haven't smelled in a while...It was another rogue. I don't want to wake Liam, it would just be more of a hassle. I would have to protect him and watch out for me at the same time. But as far as I know the other rogue only thinks there is one of us.
I carefully walk away from Liam, not making a sound. After I was a few meters away from Liam I stopped and turned around. I looked in the direction I heard the noise from. It's hard to see much with the trees covering up the moonlight, but I think I see a figure in the bushes about 2 meters away.
The wolf is too far for me to see it's size. I can't tell if this is a fight I can win or if I should just lead this wolf away from Liam.
Shit, I am not in a good position.
I get into a fighting stance and get ready to fight. I bare my teeth and growl so that the wolf hears me. They freezes and turns it's head. The wolf started running away.
I don't know why but something told me to run after them. It was obvious I was much faster than them, it only took me about 30 seconds to catch up with them. I see they're a small wolf. Not just small, but this wolf was still a pup.
I pinned the wolf down to the ground, but careful not to hurt it. The wolf started to squirm and yelp. I growled at the wolf, they need to stay quite so they don't alarm anyone. The pup quited down, but still little wines came from there throat.
Now that I was closer to the pup I can tell it's a female wolf.
In this situation it would be best if I turned, at least then I could talk to them, and the pup is still small enough for me to be able to keep a hold of as a human. Everything seems wrong about this, why is there a rogue pup all alone? I'll ask her to turn after I do. Then I can ask her questions.
While still having this young she-wolf pinned down I turned back. I shivered against the cold. I looked down at the pup.
"Can you please turn. I want to talk to you." I tried saying in a welcoming tone.
She hesitated. She started whining again.
"No no no, please be quite or you might put us both in danger."
She stopped whining.
A few moments of utter silence went by before she started to shift.
She was about Liam's age, maybe a year or two younger. She had dark brown hair and Bright green eyes. She looked terrified tho, and she was shaking. I'm not sure if it was because it was cold or if she was scared, most likely both.
"I'm sorry, I do not have a blanket or clothes, I recently lost my supplies." I told her. I was still holding on to her. "If I let you go will you promise not to run, besides I'm faster anyway."
She nodded her head. I let go of her arm. She didn't move besides her shaking.
"What's your name?" I asked in a quite tone.
She hesitated before answering. "K-Kate." Her voice barely audible.
"Hi, Kate." I said smiling at her. "My name is Samantha, if you want you can call me Sam alright?"
She nodded her head slightly.
"How old are you?" I ask her.
"S-six." she says her teeth chattering.
"Why are you alone? And out here in the woods in the middle of the night."
She looked away.
"Ok. Why don't we talk more tomorrow, or some other time when I can get some clothes?"
She stayed still.
"I have a brother, he's about your age, just a year older. Why don't you stay with us for a little bit? And you change back into your wolf if you want, I know I am it's very cold." I say to Kate.
This young female pup was in bad condition. She was so skinny I could see her bones. She also had bruises and scratches all over her body.
Kate was very hesitant first but after a while of trying to convince her, we both turned back into wolfs and walked back to were Liam was.
I pointed to a spot next to Liam. She layed down beside him.
I was so exhausted from today I fell asleep almost instantly.
