Lorraine was trying on a dress at the dress rehearsals. When she came out the lady in charge said “Wow. You look beautiful Lorraine.” She had a private dress rehearsal because she was the beta’s sister. Gillian also had her own private dress rehearsal. Lorraine couldnt wait to join the others for the cheese and drinks reception.

“I agree. She does look beautiful.” A voice said.

Lorraine couldnt believe the alpha was there. She sighed and looked down just like the lady in charge. “Thank you Alpha.”

The lady in charge of the dress rehearsals said “Alpha. Thank you for coming. May I help you? Do you want any refreshments perhaps.”

The alpha said “Leave us. I will call you back in.”

The lady said “Yes alpha.” She then left.

Lorraine kept looking down.

The alpha approached her and she felt his eyes all over her. She hated how dominant he was. He truly was a strong alpha.

Gavin took a deep breath as he said “Look up Lorraine.”

Lorraine looked up into alpha Gavin’s eyes.

Gavin stared into her eyes “Look at you. You look so stunning today. I wished to keep you alone here so I could admire you.” He then put his hands behind his back and started walking around her “You know... I wish you knew what is going on in my mind right now. I really wish you did...”

He looked at her up and down as she could feel his strong presence around her that would have intimidated anyone else if she was anyone else. But she was a beta wolf. The full attention of the alpha could be on her and her knees wouldn’t buckle. Other girls would have knelt at his feet if he unleashed his powers quite easily. But it would have taken more power from the alpha to make her kneel.

Gavin was now face to face with her one more time “To think a vile human asked you to this celebration makes my blood boil Lorraine. It makes me very angry. I cant wait for tomorrow morning. No one deserves you... No one but an alpha wolf.”

Lorraine looked away as the intensity of his stare really bothered her.

Gavin ordered “Look at me Lorraine.”

Lorraine looked at Gavin.

Gavin said “You must know that I need to pick a girl to accompany me tonight... I need to have a girl by my side...” He smiled.

She felt sick as she was understanding what he could suggest next. No way.

Gavin said “I need you by my side tonight. You are only worthy. What do you say Lorraine? Will you be my date Lorraine.”

She knew she couldnt refuse the alpha. She just couldnt. No one did.

She tried to reason with him “I am honoured that you have asked me alpha. I truly am....”

Gavin smirked “Very well. I am glad.”

She said slowly and carefully “But... I must say I think you deserve someone different. There are better girls out there alpha. Please choose someone else.”

Gavin frowned “Nonsense. Only you are worthy. You are the only girl I want Lorraine... I have waited so long to court you. Finally your sixteenth birthday came. I knew you were ready for me now. I am eighteen. Everyone expects me to have a mate by now.... I choose you for now as my companion... And we will see where it leads... I cant date another girl Lorraine. There is just you for me... There has always been just you...”

She said “I am sorry... But I need to ask my brother for permission. As you know he is my guardian.” She hoped he could get her out of it.

Gavin said “Don’t worry about your brother. If he refuses, I will make this an alpha order for you to be my companion for tonight. He cant refuse an alpha’s order. So dont think about asking for permission. The issue is resolved...”

She couldnt believe how her only ray of hope was diminished. An alpha’s order couldnt be disobeyed in anyway. She was trapped. She just had to find a way to avoid him in another way.

She said “Ok. I understand...”

Gavin smiled “Very good... Now I want you to try some more dresses from here. This one looks great but I like to see you try other outfits too.”

She said “Alpha. I dont think its necessary. This outfit will be sufficient.”

Gavin said “I said I want to see you in other dresses too. I insist Lorraine. Do it now...” He said impatiently.

She sighed and felt defeated. She turned to the other dresses that were all her size and handpicked by the designer lady in charge just for her. She picked one.

Gavin said “Put that one down. I dont like it. Try the one next to it.”

She complied and picked the dress he had picked. She went to try it on.

When she came out he was leaning to the wall. He looked at her. “You look amazing but the dress is not right.” He then walked to the dresses and picked another one “Try this one.”

Alpha Gavin made Lorraine try almost all the outfits. By the time she had tried all the dresses alpha Gavin had asked her to, the drinks and cheese reception was finishing. She had a bad feeling about what had happened. Alpha Gavin seemed to have condemned her to spend time with him only when she could have spent time with others. Gavin picked a dress for her and said “I preferred this one. This one is the best. Wear it.”

Lorraine complied of course and got ready.

When she came out Alpha Gavin said “I really love you in this dress. I dont want to let you out of here really.” He then smirked as he walked towards her “You are only made for an alpha Lorraine. You hear that... One alpha... Me... You have been made for me...” He was standing in front of her.

This couldnt be happening. This was a true nightmare. First he asked her to be his companion for the day. Now he was saying she was his. She had to escape him.

“I think we should go. The cheese and drinks reception is finishing.” Lorraine said.

Gavin narrowed his eyes “I just said you have been made for me and this is your response? You want to avoid me I see. I wont let you try to escape. I like you alot Lorraine. Now is the time to tell you.... Tell me... Do you feel the same about me... Do you like me?”

Lorraine couldnt lie to him. She had to give an excuse. Maybe she could use her brother again “You are my brother’s best friend and you are the alpha.”

“Answer the question Lorraine. Don’t give me such irrelevant answers. You either like me or you dont.” Gavin demanded.

She said to herself. “I hate you.” But then she said slowly and carefully. “Its hard for me to answer this question... I really dont know...”

The answer seemed to satisfy Gavin. His expression turned softer “You dont know. I wonder why?... I think I know.... You dont know me... Thats why you dont know... You need time to get to know me... Thats it... We can spend some time together and then you can answer my question.”

Lorraine knew full well he didnt need the answer to his question. Whether she liked him or not was irrelevant. He always got what he wanted. Unfortunately he wanted her this time. She couldnt do anything about it.

“Shall we go now?” She asked hopefully so she didnt have to be alone with him any more.

He said “Of course.” He then held her hand in his and his touch made chills run down her spine. This hand had hurt so many people. This hand had made so many submit. So much pain was caused by this hand. Now she had to endure his loving touch. Just because he had made it an alpha order for her to accompany him at the party.

He lead her away from the dress rehearsal room and to the room where everyone else was now after their dress rehearsal. She spotted her brother with Gillian in a corner. Her brother’s eyes found her in the crowd. Shock was evident on his face.

Lucas was watching as his baby sister was being lead by the alpha into the room.

Alpha Gavin approached Lucas “Hello Lucas. I asked your sister to accompany me tonight for the party. Do you have any objections?”

Lucas knew how his alpha worked. He never liked hearing no. He had to protect his sister. He said carefully “My sister.... She is too young. She is sixteen. I want her not to date until she is eighteen alpha...”

Gavin’s face turned cold. His expression became menacing “Thats nonsense. She is a beta wolf. You cant hide her from the world. She is sixteen. She is of legal age to have a mate. You wont be a barrier Lucas... I take your comment as a personal insult to me and to this pack...”

Gillian said quickly “I am sure. He is trying to look out for his sister. She has no parents. Come on Gavin. He is just protecting her from the wrong person. You wont hurt his sister will you? Just assure him.”

Gavin turned to Gillian “Hurt her? Never.” He turned to Lucas. “Is that it? Are you afraid I might hurt her? My intentions are pure towards your sister. I have always loved her. I waited for her to turn sixteen before I ask her out. I am now doing this after years of waiting. I have been honourable. if I wanted to hurt your sister I would have done it when she sympathised with humans. Don’t you think? I would never hurt her. Are you assured? Tell me...”

Lucas looked worriedly at his sister “Lorraine.... Do you want to accompany Alpha Gavin tonight.”

Lorraine felt sorry for her brother. He had nothing but concern in his eyes. She had to be strong. Gavin was a monster but she could never let his brother take on the alpha. She said “I am fine. I said I want your permission. I dont mind...” She then looked at alpha Gavin “Its an honour.”

Gavin smiled and said “Its an honour for me Lorraine to court you. Believe me.”
