Lorraine took a deep breath “Alpha... Gavin... What if I dont go out with you and I defy you in public. Will you hurt me?”

Gavin frowned “What do you mean? Are you planning to reject me and defy me?” His waves of powers were unleashed.

Lorraine quickly looked away and started shaking uncontrollably. But she was a beta wolf. She could keep it together. She bit her lip “Alpha... I am only speaking theoretically.... I have no intention of defying you or rejecting you.”

Her shaking then gradually stopped as the alpha regsitered her words.

Gavin said “I dont think you should speak to me this way Lorraine. Dont ever tease me like this again. It provokes me to do something I might regeret. I dont take kindly to rejection and defiance. I love you Lorraine and I will give you time to get to know me. I am the alpha. You must respect me... To answer your question... If you make me angry, I will deal with you personally. You are mine. You belong to me. What I do to you if you hurt my feelings and reject me or defy me is not your concern. If you are not planning to reject and defy me then you have nothing to worry about Lorraine. Now look at me. Do you have further questions.”

Lorraine said as she looked up “But what if I do displease you? What will you do... Will you hurt me?”

Gavin said “Enough... You have my love... But if you displease me or betray me there are consequences ... Lets say you really dont want to see that side of me... If you reject me or defy me I will see it as your betrayal to me as your alpha and I will take it personal.”

Lorraine knew he would hurt her. He hadnt answered the question. It seemed like a confirmation that if she didnt do as he said he was going to hurt her. His eyes promised her actions.

Gavin said “So Lorraine... What made you ask the question?”

Lorraine said ” For now... I want to go out with you...” She lied... She couldnt refuse him but she had to accept his courtship and that was the sole reason she was with him. She hated him. She breathed “I ask because I .... am not sure what happens in future. What if I dont like you and what if I defy you...”

Gavin unleashed his powers again making her shake. She looked away again. Gavin said “You have no idea. Do you? You dont know how much i love you. I need to prove it to you so you see how much you mean to me... Then you wont dare have such outrageous thoughts. Now I forbid you from thinking about this again. Now swear to me you wont think of betraying me. Ever.”

Lorraine said as she was shaking “I... swear....” The shaking then stopped and she let out a deep breath. Tremors in her body had been so strong. He had been so mad at her.

Gavin said ” Thats a good girl. You must be obedient. No more of these theoretical questions... Lets enjoy the ride and the scenery.”

The rest of the ride was spent in silence as Gavin held her hand tightly.

They got to the restaurant where the dinner was held. It was a luxurious place and was owned by the alpha’s family. Before they got off alpha gavin said ” Remember what I said. No defiance in public. You wont like the consequences.”

Lorraine knew that. She wasnt planning on defying him. She didnt want to cause trouble for her brother. She was sure if she displeased the alpha, it wasn’t just going to be her, in danger. Her brother could also suffer too. She knew how the alpha worked. He went after families of the people who he didnt like. No one was safe from him. Not even his childhood best friend who happened to be Lucas.

Quite near the end of the dinner Lucas stood up “Gillian. I think I am going to go home.”

Gillian frowned “You are leaving so soon.”

Lucas walked to the alpha and his sister who were sitting alone in a private booth ” Alpha can she be dismissed to come home with me? Its getting late.”

Alpha said “Of course she can be dismissed. Don’t forget I want her present early morning when we are punishing the humans in the republic stadium. I have deliberately scheduled these punishments so early so she can see them before school. Your sister will be sitting in a front row.”

Lucas said “She will be there alpha.”

Alpha nodded “Very well.”

Lorraine stood up “Goodbye Alpha ... Gavin.”

Gavin smiled “See you tomorrow.”

When they reached home, Lucas said “Lorraine. I like to talk to you. Come sit with me.”

Lorraine walked to her brother and sat next to him in front of the TV.

Lucas said “I get straight to the point... So you and alpha... are together now.”

Lorraine knew where this was going. It was the talk about her boyfriend and whether she liked him. She didnt but she had to pretend she did. She didnt want her brother to take the alpha on.

Lorraine said “Yes. He asked me out today. He said from now on we will be going on dates....”

Lucas said “Did you agree to it... willingly?”

Lorraine nodded “Yes.”

Lucas said “I just dont want him to court you before you are eighteen. You are just a kid. I asked Gillian for help. I asked her to convince the alpha to wait for two years but she said that he has been waiting for too long and she cant do anything.... She wont help. But I will try to convince him to leave you be a teenager.”

Lorraine was horrified at the thought of that. Gavin had become so mad when she had asked what if she wasn’t going to date him and was going to defy him. He was pretty sure that was a fraction of his wrath that could be unleashed on her brother if he pushed it with the alpha. She shook her head “There is no need to do that. He is a gentleman. He hasn’t hurt me and he wont hurt me. You dont need to talk to him.”

Lucas sighed “I just dont understand whats the rush for him to court you so suddenly. You are just a kid.”

Lorraine shrugged “But he is the alpha. He needs a girlfriend.”

Lucas said “He does. But it didnt have to be you. Are you sure you are okay with him courting you?”

Lorraine said “Yes. I am...”

Lucas sighed “All right. If you say so...”

Lorraine was about to stand up but Lucas said “Wait... About tomorrow... Please dont break down. No matter what you do dont break... You need to br strong and watch the punishments. If you break he will see it as a weakness and he will not stop until he makes sure you dont have the weakness meaning more torturing of humans in front of you. Pleading and crying wont work on him. I know the alpha. Please try to hold it together and watch with strength. You are a beta wolf. You can do it. Just dont show any emotion throughout the whole session. Please Lorraine. I dont want you to be in the radar of the alpha. He knows you symphatise with humans so he is watching you.”

Lorraine said “I wont let you down. Thank you for the heads up.”

It was early morning and Lorraine was watching them bring out the torture machines out in the middle of the field in the stadium. A huge crowd were gathering slowly. She had a front row position of course right behind the guards on the alpha’s order. Big screens were broadcasting what was happening live.

Finally Alpha Gavin came out and ordered for the punishments to begin. The piercing screams from the electrocution machine was the loudest. She had to hold it together. She had to. She didnt have a choice. She just sat with a stone face watching. It was sickening to watch but her brother had advised her to not show any emotion. After the session was finished she was about to leave but alpha Gavin came out of no where and blocked her path. “Good Morning Lorraine.” He said.

Lorraine said “Hello alpha... Gavin.”

Gavin smiled “I see you came to the event. I am glad you didnt defy me...” He then leaned close and whispered “You dont want to see what happens when I am angry.”

Lorraine said “It was nice to come here.” She lied and she said “I need to go to school now. Goodbye alpha.” She tried to side step him but he grabbed her arm “I havent dismissed you Lorraine. Have I?”

Lorraine said reluctantly “No alpha... I am sorry. I just dont want to be late to school. I have to go.”

Gavin said “You will be with me. I will give you a note. You wont have to worry about being late. I wish for your to accompany me to the new pack prison that we saw yesterday. You left early before dinner finished last night so I couldnt take you there. Do you want to come now?”

Lorraine said “Of course Alpha.”
