He tried to get up.
“How the hell can you... Doesn’t matter!” Varkhaz swung his hand down.
It felt heavier, as though a huge beast was standing atop him. However his hate was stronger. His face twisted with a smirk as though he only saw prey in front of him. Varkhaz, taken aback by his expression, was truthfully scared. Maru’s hand went inside what was a dark hole, and when he had taken it out, there was a sword. Maru took out a sword out of empty space. A sword that had the blade glowing with patterns. Glowing a bright green.
“「Urere Lux」!” A ball of fire flew towards Maru, however unfazed by it, he simply deflected it with his sword. Yet it only looked like the ball of fire suddenly flew away.
Varkhaz was pressured, however he was surely powerful, was he not?
Yet, in less than the time he tried to cast another fireball, he fell over.
‘Why did I fall over? Was I pushed back by something?’ he thought, yet that was not the reason. It was rather that he didn’t have something to ‘stand’ on.
As he looked down, he saw his legs, at least the lack thereof any.
“Ahhhh!! Fuck! Fuck! It hurts! 「Heilen」!「Heilen」!「Heilen」!” he frantically shouted, yet this spell that was supposed to heal him did nothing. Absolutely nothing to benefit him. It only stopped his blood loss from his wounds. Oh how tragic.
Staring at Maru with bloodshot eyes he said “Stop! Stop you bastard! Don’t kill me! I’ll give you anything!”
“Will you?” Maru said with a twisted frown.
“Yes! I can!” - “Then give me my sister back...” he said.
Varkhaz silently stared into Maru’s eyes. Scared, he flipped over and tried crawling away, with no legs to run away with, he started crying.
Maru slowly walked towards him and picked him up by his hair. “Varkhaz. I asked you to give my sister back.” he said with a big smile on his face. He was most definitely not in his right mind.
“I’ll give you anything else back! Please let me go!!”
“Okay. I’ll let you go. Then how about you pay for it the same way my sister died?”
“Ah... Please no!”
“Everyone, charge him!” He was the captain of the Red Iron Force. In less than a minute everyone of the soldiers circled around Maru and Varkhaz. Since they had finished killing all of the people of the village.
“How silly of me! How could I forget all of you!” Maru said, looking back at the man who had shouted.
In just a second, Maru had disappeared. What had just happened? Yet no one knew. And all of a sudden everyone of the soldiers cept for the captain fell onto the floor, the floor was being dyed red with the blood of these soldiers.
The captain, not knowing what to do, fell to his knees. Maru, dropping Varkhaz, walked towards the captain and sliced his head cleanly from the base of his neck. As the blood sprayed everywhere, Maru’s blade dripped drops of blood.
Varkhaz knowing he was only trapped here, he simply sat on the floor as his death approached him.
Maru stood in front of him, with simply a blank expression. What was Varkhaz to do in this place?
As the silence encompassed the both of them with only the sound of the crackling of fire. No one was alive to scream, the only thing that was left was the fire that would eventually burn this place.
The silence was broken with just a simple scream. The scream of the pitiful boy known as Varkhaz.
“AHHHHH! NO!”
As his nails were ripped apart from his fingers with just a dagger, he could not help but scream for help, that wasn’t there.
One by one, every nail ripped.
Slowly he sliced his fingers, part by part.
What was now left was but the stubs once called his fingers.
“just... kill me...”
“I didn’t hear you~”
“Just.. kill me!”
“No.”
Varkhaz had long lost his ‘true’ consciousness, what was now left was simply a husk that was once his body.
Maru stood up and sliced his head cleanly from the base of his neck. That was the end of Varkhaz.
