I looked over when I heard that gasp, thinking something was wrong.
It was just the opposite. I had finally found my twin brother after years of searching and coming to the conclusion that when mom left, he had died.
I was so happy to be wrong. Our mother had left him when we were two. She had taken me and left him. She had raised me until she had died when I was 15, since then I had been on my own.
But here he was. With a stranger. In a town I had lived in for the past few years. I was surprised this was the first time I saw him. It’s not like this was a big city.
But there he was. My brother. I walked over to them. I knew I shouldn’t have but I walked up to Ash and hugged him tightly. He and the man with him looked confused but Ash hugged me back anyways. After a short period of time I let go, looked Ash in the eye, and ask “My name is Maya Scott, do you know who I am?”
I was met with complete confusion, Ash didn’t know who I was and the man standing next to him didn’t know what to do, his mouth was opening and closing trying to decide what to say.
After a few moments Ash shook his head, signifying he had no clue as to who I was.
I sighed and said “I’m your sister Ash, your twin to be exact.”
I was met with shocked faces and it looked as if something had clicked in Ash’s head. Like he finale understood something that had confused him for a long time.
