My life is fairly boring... You could even go so far as to say I was living everyone's dream. I had a stable job, a wife, and we were slowly paying off our house. I spent my free time trying my hand at some basic design hobbies like 3-d printing and woodworking, or playing video games and reading novels. Things aren't always as they seem superficially though.

 I grew up abused, my father would beat me at the slightest provocation and my mother tried her best to prevent it but she wasn't there all the time. Both of them had a high standard for me and I tried to live up to it but often fell under what they wanted. In adulthood I kind of just gave up on my dreams from my childhood. Not the worst childhood out there but definitely could have been better too.

Thankfully that was all in the past, I've been living off on my own for 6 years so far. I got married 3 years ago, bought a house and have been working nonstop since I was eighteen. Apparently the stress finally caught up with me though. I knew working 13 hours a day, five days a week will eventually lead to health problems. Last thing I remember was working my usual 13 hour shift at the hospital and falling asleep after getting home. Next thing I knew I woke up here.

Currently I'm sitting in a white space on a pillow with a small table in front of me. Across from me is a middle-aged lady with flowing silver hair and a soft golden glow about her. Enough about how I got here, I should probably listen to what this Goddess has to say she has been waiting patiently. Perhaps this is a chance for me to relax a bit and live life according to what I want to do and not what is expected of me. Perhaps this is my Ategenos, my second chance.
