The 3D Crystal

A family friend hired me to create a book cover for her. The cover consists of 3 red crystals with a clear one in the center. I couldn't figure out the angle of the two crystals in the back. I knew they were wrong, but I couldn't figure out how to fix it. This was my exact thought process. Why I didn't figure it out sooner, I have no idea.
