Chapter 9

Perspectives on all travellers

*All travellers refer to a chapter where all protagonists who have travelled from our world to Daganheimr this perspective excludes Edan as he was never from our world and has lived in Daganheimr his entire life. Specifically, all traveller refers to Addie, Ade, Lillina, Rylee, Ivan and Fenya* 

Fenya had spent much time watching this group from above and observing their abilities she had been surprised at their lack of notice to her presence. They are far too strong to risk intervening, of course, she had only thought that the one with a scar on their back was strong, but the male of the group had also shown unexpected strength today. Though his act of heroism had made him also faint. The eldest of the females had been the first to stumble in as she had already been here when Fenya had arrived, and she seemed the mother like.

"can we help him, you helped me and the scary girl," that little girl she was her ticket in. her entrance was exaggerated by that disgusting creature but you could still almost smell the innocence on her and she seemed willing to let more people in. allowing myself to fall from the tree I feel myself lose balance and hear a small crack. Fuck I broke another bone I really need to be careful she thought. With a shrug, Fenya stands again moving towards the group with caution.

"Sorry to interrupt, do you need another hand," Fenya heard a small gasp and a grunt come from the people in front of her. "you probably don't need me, and it sounds kind of creepy but I've observed you and I think you came here the same way I did, so its probably better that we stick together," They all nodded in unison and the small girl ran towards her. She seemed to observe Fenya making her feel a little more uncomfortable. Who knew such an innocent child seem so scary? The others seemed to contemplate and one of them was looking at the ground beneath her.

"Okay you can join us but you're going to have to help the only one who doesn't have to pull their weight is the child," it was flamed girl who ended up accepting after a conferring nod from the eldest girl. "My name is Rylee this is Addie the child is Lillina and the big man is Ade, we don't know who the other one is," as Rylee talked she seemed to nod towards each person "and before you make the same mistake as the child who is the only person I will accept that shit from I don't have gender my pronouns are they- them." Nodding vigorously to them Fenya moved towards the task of dragging the boy's bodies to the consistently flowing stream.

Addie watched as the newest member of their growing group move the boys to the water despite the obvious loosened ribs that showed easily through her exposed skin before she flopped ungraciously onto the grass. She looked back at Addie motioning to the boys as if she would know what she meant. Moving towards her she sat and placed cold water on each of their foreheads rubbing it over their neck. Shed realised that she had been a lot more of a germaphobe and a lot shyer around the house avoiding people insisting that she needed to be doing the cleaning but then again it was more of a task of avoiding her boyfriend.

"if we are all living here we are going to have to figure out what each of us does every day, and our abilities will have a play into it so I can cook food and start fires," it was a good idea but Addie shook her head seeming concerned by the idea.

"you forget that every time you use your ability you end up with an injury it should only be used in dire measures, can you control fire without making it," Addie made a good point Fenya to had seen how Rylee's condition was worsened by the use of her ability.

"yes I can but in not very good at it, I didn't have much practice in the asylum," with a nod the group decided that their daily jobs should give practice with our abilities but not hinder their physical health.

"so as long as the kid's ability does not affect his human form or cause danger he is best to hunt, Lillina will practice her ability so that we can eventually preserve food for later, Rylee cooks by controlling an already made fire, Ade will teach science he seems to have the most practice with his ability and is the oldest, Addie heals and does a patrol with me, I cut meat, make weapons and help with tents as well as help on patrol as an extra eye with Addie and Ade." With a nod from each member not unconscious and an exciting wobble from Lillina, they had decided how they would run for the time being.

Wordlessly Rylee assisted Fenya at making a shelter from sticks and leaves as well as improving the shelters they had built the night before. It was very quickly getting dark and they had yet to light a fire or find food the group. The assumed that for the third night In a row they would be going without food. With a sigh Addie cleaned up the boys by the water as her stomach growled as much as she hated her ex, he had at least kept her well-fed. It seemed that Fenya was the only one who was unaffected by hunger pains. With the others in mind, she snuck into the woods in search of something they all could eat.
