Jake and Jason dragged Sage in by his upper arms, one to either side of him. Tossing his limp body down into the middle of the floor in the clubhouse. A soft whimper leaving his frail body.
"We found him." Stated Jake.
"He was the one that set off the motion sensors on the back fence." Commented Jason.
Sage curled up into a ball on the floor too weak to do much else. Body trembling from many factors but the biggest factor was the scent that filled the room around him. He once again found himself in a den of alphas.
Blood coming from what looked to be the palms of his hands and a few other places, his busted lip, sliced cheek. He cut himself on the barbwire at the top of the fence climbing over it. Covered in a fresh layer of dirt and dust from being dragged in.
"Snooping around where he doesn't belong." They commented together.
The twins tended to do that often, saying the same thing or finishing what the other one started saying. Jake and Jason were interesting all on their own being twin alpha's. It was rare for twins even more so to have them both be alphas and male. They stood even at six-foot, short buzzed cut blonde hair, blue eyes, a slender face with a matching nose. Lean for alpha's but that leanness gave them a speed advantage.
Mike the Pack Master moved forward, dark eyes piercing down at the small male, nose sniffing as he leaned forward. He could smell nothing but alpha's on the boy. At least five of them. He placed a firm hand on Sage, turning his chin upwards to look at him.
"Omega." He commented lightly.
Sage had been trained not to pull away doing so would result in punishment but one last surge of energy came rushing through him.
He couldn't be safe here in this den of beasts. Jerking his head back as he scrambled to get up from the floor, turning to run.
He had been running for what felt like forever tonight. His Master had finally slipped up and Sage took it, bolting off as fast as he could on his two legs. No clue as to where he was or where he was going just pushing his body past all limits. Once he started running he couldn't stop. They would catch him and kill him for sure. So he had to keep going no matter the cost.
When his Master's men got close to him, he took the only option he saw climbing the fence, cutting himself at the top, falling over to the other side onto the hard dirt knocking the wind out of him. Making it just another few feet before the twins got a hold of him.
He made it no further than the front door before he was stopped again. No one chased or even moved after him, they all stood where they were watching. It was the male that was walking in that halted him with his body. Sage ran right into his large solid frame. The sudden impact sent Sage back to the floor, whimpering as his open palms scraped against the hard rough surface. Sage's green eyes looking up at the male from below, catching his gaze for a split second before he passed out.
Colt was not affected by the impact at all. His stance not swaying in the slightest. He looked down at the young male much like his own father did just a moment ago. He picked up his limp body by the arm just like the twins had this time the grip was accompanied by a growl.
"Just going to let the rat run off?" He questioned, returning Sage to the center of the room.
This time he appeared to have passed out from exhaustion finally. His last-ditch efforts of being free were wasted.
Mike looked at his son, "I don't think he's a rat. The poor boy is scared to death running from someone."
His voice was rough and just as deep as Colt's but not filled with so much anger, a southern draw to the both of them. That was about the only thing that matched between the two of them. Colt looked nothing like his father.
Mike was in his late forties, a few grays placed through his long black hair and beard. A strong but rounding out frame showing his age a bit more, hard dark eyes with a stern look.
Colt was twenty-eight standing taller than everyone in their pack at 6'4, light brown auburn hair cut short, light eyes which he's been told were his mother's but he wouldn't know. He never met her. She died just after giving birth to him. Some think that placed a curse on him. That curse taking a physical form on his body marking him for all to see with a strawberry birthmark over his left eye. A triangular shaped framing, wide broad shoulders with hips that tappered in.
"We did smell some unknown alphas nearby." Chimed the twins.
Sage wasn't alone out there tonight. He was just the only one that jumped the fence crossing into their land. Mike kneeled next to Sage again, giving him a hard once over. Sage not moving from his touch this time, not even when he opened his eyes to get a look at his pupils which were pinpoint. He was dosed with something heavy.
"Call Stitch, have him come to look the boy over. Clean up his wounds and whatever else he might need."
Letting out a long sigh as he stood up, "Colt, you're responsible for him."
"WHAT?" Growled Colt in protest.
Everyone in the pack knew better than to question their Pack Master like Colt had just now. He tended to push the limits, not because Mike was his father and could get away with it to some extent but because he had anger issues and didn't take orders very well. Especially ones that didn't suit him.
Mike turned hard in his stance giving Colt an even harder look. His word was law and Colt knew it.
"If you ever plan on being a Pack Master yourself one day you better learn to deal with things that don't necessarily suit you. If you can't handle one poor wolf how will you handle a whole pack of them?"
Mike called him out in front of everyone. It's about time he learned what true responsibility was. Colt also needed to work on his temper and what could be better than a scared pup to teach him.
Colt had been tense and eager the moment he left his mother's womb. The whispers about him being cursed didn't help the chip he had on his shoulder either. He was bitter towards the world for the hand he was dealt as a child not that he shared this with anyone verbally because he didn't have to, they all could see it.
"So we're just going to ignore the fact he's an omega. A male omega at that?" Questioned Tank finally leaving the stool he had been sitting on.
Making his way over to Sage now that Mike had left. He poked at his small frame with his large fat hand. Tank lived up to his name. He was one of the largest males in their pack. He was beefy to say the least, muscles but not ripped like Colt or the twins. He had a layer of fat over his bulking him out more.
"He's so wittle." Stated Tank poking at him with his index finger.
