Something was off about Eddie this night.
Edward left in the middle of the meeting to use the bathroom. He locked himself in and searched his pockets for his small packet of white dust, also known as cocaine. The riddle boy ended his career of riddles and questions a while ago with this sweet sugar. It was one of the main reasons why he couldn't think straight.
"Come on... Come on..." he groaned as he tried to open the packet. He finally opened it, letting out a small dust cloud right in his face. Delightful. He grinned and his eyes slowly closed. He sprinkled the dust carefully onto the marble counter and used one of the credit cards he stole to make them into lines. The lines weren't very good, but that's the best you'll get from an ancient credit card.
The credit card belonged, surprise surprise, to Harvey Dent himself! Before Harvey completely split in half, he and Ed used to go to the same university. They used to share the dorm room. They used to be great friends, Ed and Harv... Ed even thought that they were more than that. But dreams are just dreams, and reality is always different.
Friendship between Harvey and Edward had stopped when Harvey decided to move away from Gotham City. That really broke Eddie's heart into pieces. They had a goodbye party and then he left. Trying to fill the hole in his heart, Ed became something that would let him forget his past. He became a villain by joining Joker's gang. But few years later, he managed to leave his job of being a goon and start a new career in professional villainy.
One day, Eddie heard that Harvey came back from California. He got his new address and his small obsession towards him ignited. He bought a rose bouquet, a box of chocolates and went to the address by subway. After walking for ten minutes under the rainy weather, he rang the doorbell of the small house. The door opened, but instead of Harvey came Two Face.
This was the last thing Eddie would remember of that night.
