"Boy, this is Zack, and Zack this is Kia. He's kinda shy and not very talkative, but he does listen really well. He’s a good kid," Sam introduced. I’m in shock that he used my name. I had wondered if he remembered it .
Sam had also picked up that I was shy, which I've never admitted to myself and not even my dad or brother had ever picked up that. I try to hide it, because being shy is a weakness for me.
I should be able to fix it, but I just can’t get over it. Everyone thought I just didn't like to talk. They took it as your typical strong guy that doesn't like to talk to anyone, but the reality is that I'm deathly scared of talking to people, especially new people. With how my pack acted towards me, I never could get used to talking. I'm in awe with Sam to be able to pick up that in such a short time.
Zack is so adorable. He has the softest, fluffiest brown hair that looks just like a puppy's fur. It makes me want to ruffle my hand through it. His eyes are bright green like the forest blooming in the Springtime, and he's so tiny. I've never seen such a tiny werewolf before. He almost comes to my chest. I have the urge to wrap my arms around him and give him a big squeeze.
When you look at him, he looks almost like he could be a female with how smooth, soft, and fair his face looks. My male wolf could sense that Zack's a werewolf too, but instead of being in a protective mode that's ready to fight, he feels the need to guard and protect Zack. My female wolf looks like she's curious about Zack. Maybe she thought he was a lost puppy?
Zack didn't look like he realized that I'm a werewolf too. Looking at him again, how in the world is Zack a werewolf? His lips are very plump like a red plum that gives me an urge to taste them. That thought made my cheeks turn hot, I've never thought of kissing someone before and a guy at that, but I've been raised to not really care about gender much and even some of my pack members had their bond mate be the same gender.
Thinking about kissing made me think of that pleasant, wonderful, and delightful smell that I had smelled earlier in the day. Zack has a nice smell to him, but it didn't come close to that other smell.
Just thinking of the smell, made both of my wolves whine, wanting the smell to be with us. I want to hunt it down, and once I found whoever possessed it, I would kiss all over them. It would have been perfect if Zack was the one though with it, because I'm starting to think he's my type.
The only thing that didn't match with his appearance is his voice. When he said hello to me, he had a really deep voice that didn't match his body type at all that I had to hold back a laugh when it had caught me off guard.
"Zack, why don't ya take the boy to the café to get some coffee and get to know each other awhile? I'm finishing packing up." Sam says to Zack.
Zack nods his head and grabs my hand, pulling me over to the shop. It was like we were holding hands, again my cheeks were hot.
We went into the shop and a ding at the door went off when Zack opened the door. The person behind the counter welcomes us and starts to ask for what we want. This shop smells just like that awful bitter stuff that Sam drinks in the morning claiming he couldn't function if he doesn't have at least two cups of it. He had made me try some and it was like I was eating dirt. Zack must have noticed my hesitation in ordering, because he went ahead and ordered for me the same thing that he was getting.
"Don't worry, I promise you'll like this. Don't judge coffee based on how Sam drinks it. He likes it as dark as you can get it and with the coffee grain mixed into it. I think it’s like eating dirt. " Zack snarled in disgust like he was remembering when he had to try Sam's coffee.
We got our coffee and went to a table.
“Hurry, try it. You won't regret it, trust me.” Zack says, urging me to take a sip of it.
It looks completely different from Sam's coffee. This coffee is cold and has a pleasant sweet smell to it. On top of the drink is this fluffy white swirl of what smells like milk that covers the whole surface. There was no clean way to drink it and I knew I would get that white stuff all over my face. When I took a sip of the coffee, I hurry and wipe my face before Zack could see that I have it on me. I didn't want to embarrass myself.
The taste is nothing like how Sam's coffee had taste. It’s so good that I have to take another sip. How weird, that something that's called the same thing can have a totally different taste.
"So, how is it?" Zack asks curiously.
"It’s really good, nothing like Sam's. How can coffee be so different?" I asked and he went into explaining that you can add different stuff to make the bitter taste go away. It's like magic.
Zack reached up to touch my nose and wipe it with his finger, then he put that finger on my lips. It has some of the white stuff on it, and before I realized what I was doing, I lick his finger. Embarrassment hit me and my cheeks went hot for the third time today.
"You had some whipped cream on your nose." Zack said with a devilish smile on his face and he licks the finger to get off the rest of the whipped cream that I had missed. I couldn’t look away from his mouth with his finger in it. Wasn’t that like an indirect kiss? That thought had me on fire all over.
"Here's a straw to use to suck up your coffee to avoid getting whipped cream all over your face." Zack laughed handing me it.
"Thanks." I said, wishing he would have given it to me earlier, so I wouldn’t have embarrassed myself just thinking about it made me start to warm up some more.
But this warm feeling isn't going away. It's getting worse. It just hit me, how hot I'm feeling is just like how I’m feeling before I transform into my female wolf. Oh no, she’s wanting to get out.
