I had settled down after a while, and was now sitting on one of the seats of the plane. I sat there staring at the cup of water in front of me.
I lifted my tissue and wiped my nose with it. I had been crying for most the most part as soon as I woke up. I already had vomited three times now. Elevators weren't my thing and planes weren't either apparently.
Shifting in my seat, exhaling loudly, I pulled the shades down to cover the window. Looking outside made feel even more airsick. My mind told me to take a sip of water but my body wouldn't move.
I had never been on a plane before so this was a whole new experience for me; however it was not a good one. The pilot had said that we would be experiencing some slight turbulence; which we did but it was not slight.
My eyes shift to the left as I see someone heading down the row of the plane toward me. It was Wolf he was carrying a glass bottle and two champagne glasses in his hand. He plopped down in front of me and put everything on the table.
He rattled his fingers against the table that separated us. "So..." he pursed his lips, "are you done crying." He said with a slight edge to his tone.
I stared back not meeting his eyes. I licked my lips and ignored what he had said just before. I wished I was stronger, I wished I could fight back. The vile words I wanted to say were at the tip of my tongue but I wasn't brave enough to speak them out loud.
At the corner of my eyes I saw him tilted his head to the side. He opened his mouth to speak but closed it before he got the chance to say anything. I watched as he popped open the cork to the bottle and poured the drink into both of the glasses on the table. I looked up at him warily. The way he leered at me made me feel uneasy.
He moved one of the champagne glasses toward me and raised his the other one in his hand. "A toast to your recruitment, will you cheers with me then." He brought his glass closer to mine, as if he was waiting for me to clink mine with his. I didn't move, I just stared down at my lap.
I jolted when Wolf's hands came down on the table suddenly catching me of guard. His hand came in contact with the table rather harshly causing a unpleasant, loud noise in result. My heart rate sped up almost simultaneously as his hands hit the table.
"You know what I hate the most, more than anything in this world, more that Marcela? Do you?" I shook my head nervously, afraid for my life. Trying to think back to moments before and how this one sided conversation escalated so fast.
"When people ignore me. It makes my blood boil, and I find it to be extremely irritating... and rude. Ya know what else I hate? Do you? Do you even have a clue? When people don't make eye contact with me. Its just-its so annoying. My mother always told me when you look someone in the eye it screams confidence. Something you don't have obviously." He then chuckled softly, swaying ever so softly. Which I that was quite odd.
I sat up straighter in my chair and moved closer to the window. Wolf raised one of his eyebrows and took a big gulp from his wine glass. He walked over to me slowly and sat in the chair beside me.
He glared at me intently as I continued to stare down into my lap. I felt a warm hand touch my chin which caught me off guard, and I looked up in shock. My eyes meet Wolf, he was so close to me and things started to make a little more sense. Wolfs eyes' were a faint red color but they were still very beautiful. They were a forest green color and I couldn't help but stare a little longer than I should have. His face very smooth except for a small light brown birthmark that graced his cheek. He also had freckles that complemented his skin very well. They were scattered over the bridge of his nose and his rosy cheeks, but they were so faint, you would have to be very close to him to see them. I hadn't even noticed them until now. Wolf may be a lot of things but one thing he wasn't was ugly. My eyes were wide as I glazed over his face.
Wolf suddenly broke out into a crazy grin. "Like my freckles? They're cute aren't they." I could smell the alcohol on this breath.
He lifted his drink and took another big gulp. He signaled to my drink with his finger. "You're not going to drink yours? He questioned.
I looked at him in astonishment. "I'm fifteen." I said quickly.
He look confused for a second. Until he finally spoke, "So?" he said.
"Im not old enough, the drinking age is 21." I said softly. Didn't he know this.
He suddenly threw his head back in laughter. "Are you for real? Nobody cares, seriously you just keep-" He cut himself off and sighed. "Anyways you can still drink it, its only apple cider."
He picked my glass up offering it to me. I shook my head. Yeah right, does he think I'm stupid.
He rose one of his eyebrows. "You don't trust me, do you?"
"No, I don't." I responded in a clipped tone. I was no longer crying. I couldn't wait until he left, I didn't trust him one bit. He was spot on that allegation.
Wolf was the kind of person that you just couldn't trust. I usually don't judge people before I actually meet them, but the way Wolf behaved in school just gave me a negative vibe that I just couldn't shake off. He walked around like he ran the place, flashing his killer smile to girls who were too innocent for their own good.
I felt bad for them because I knew Wolf only going to use them to benefit himself. He would get what he wanted and then after he was done, he would leave them stranded. Probably, wondering how they ended up there in the first place. He would make you fall but wasn't there to catch you in the end. He wasn't fooling anyone, especially me. He was the devil in sheep clothing.
He looked at me flatly. "It's apple cider trust me. I was drinking before in the back, but I actually brought this back for you. I wanted to have a chat with you also." He smiled warmly.
I looked at him suspiciously, I felt tense and on edge with him around. I didn't like the feeling. "Here drink it, I don't know why everyone always thinks I'm up to something. It'll make you feel better from all that throwing up."
I took the glass from him and smelled it. It at least smelled like apple cider. I took a sip, letting out a sigh of relief that it was. I took a regular drink from the cup and set it down.
I put it down slowly. I felt his eyes on me. I looked toward him and saw a smirk on his lips. He reached his hand toward me, softly stroking my cheek with his thumb. My heart started to speed up and my face started to increase in temperature.
Wolf moved closer to me staring intently into my eyes. "You have the most dazzling eyes, you know? You're so cute. I could just eat you right up. I am the big bad Wolf after all and you are just the prey."
My head began to spin, and my vision began to blur. It was so abrupt, completely out of nowhere. I gripped the table with one hand and Wolf's arm with my other. What was happening? Maybe it was the plane sickness coming back.
"Poor little Wintry, are you getting a little dizzy. I hope it wasn't from that drink I gave you." The drink! I looked up at him, trying to form a sentence together but I couldn't. I couldn't even think straight. So I dug my nails into his wrist.
I tried to stand up and push my way to get away from him but I came crashing to the floor. My vision had completely blurred and I was slowly starting to lose consciousness. The last thing I heard was Wolf's voice.
"The wolf is always the bad guy in the fairy tales, what makes you think it would be any different in real life."
.....****......
I blinked once, then twice, then once more again. I had been awake now for a while. When I had woken up I was in a room. I freaked out, confused to what had happened. Then I remembered. Wolf. He drugged me. He put something in my drink. How could this happen. My anger had reached an all time high.
I was trying to wrap this all around my head. So far I had been kidnapped and drugged. I didn't even want to think about what could happen next.
Why was I so stupid? Why did I believe him? I knew he was a snake and I let him slither around me. I let him touch my face. I'm so weak; I let those boys control me. It's pathetic and embarrassing. I get all nervous and lose my strength. I need to grow a backbone and start defending myself, because no one else was going to do it for me.
I had tried to leave the room but the door was locked. So I sat for hours waiting. At least they had left some food. I had eaten so much, I didn't realize I was so hungry. However, I needed to pee and there was no bathroom. So I just sat on the bed and waited.
The door opened slowly, my head jerked up. It was Dark, I felt a weird emotion come over me. I hadn't seen him in a while.
He didn't say anything so I spoke up. "Take me home."
"Um, no." He said almost amusingly. "You're staying right here."
I stared back not backing down. "No, you are taking me home. I'm done with this." I said in a firm voice.
"Even after all the fun we had." He said in a dull voice.
"After the plane lands, you need to get me on another flight back home." I stood my ground even though I was crying on the inside. I felt my bottom lip tremble, I wanted to cry but I knew it wouldn't solve anything.
He made a strange face but it passed in second. "Unfortunately for you that will not be happening. I have plans for tomorrow and you will be participating in them. So once again no, you will not be leaving. This is the end of this conversation, unless you have something more to say." His eyes were hard and he sounded very serious with his words. I had never heard him speak so much.
He walked toward me, and stopped when we were only but a breath away from each other. He looked down and I looked up. His ocean blue eyes were roaring and I found myself unable to look away.
"Do you have anything more to say?" He asked emotionless.
"I need to use the bathroom." I whispered. Back to the old me already.
He stared for a while before nodding. "It's the night now if you didn't know, so you should go sleep after this." He began to walk toward the door. "You're going to need all the sleep you can get tonight," he said just before turning the knob of the door, "...because tomorrow marks the beginning of training." He said finally opening up the door.
