I often find backgrounds daunting and unsatisfying, but I actually had a lot of fun with this one. That’s part of why I do these single panel pages sometimes - so I can focus on one thing at a time and find a way to enjoy it rather than stressing. It’s so easy to stress about panelling and composition and how much detail to include in each panel and blah blah blah. It’s nice to slow down all those thoughts. Also it helps keep control of the pace of the story.

That Damned Dog is about a good-for-nothing rich boy whose trust fund access depends on his ability to play nice with his dad’s new pet - a hell hound he found at the side of the road.
