[How many cultivation levels are there, Andy?]
[Hmm? About Nine I think.]
[NINE?! That's a lot!]
[Hehe, it is.]
[Then... what level are we?]
[Hmm... First off, why don't I tell you more about the cultivation levels?]
[...Sure.]
[First Level - Mortal
Second Level - beast
Third Level - Nature
Fourth Level - Mind
Fifth Level - Soul
Six Level - Foundation
Seventh Level - Mythical
Eighth Level - Immortal
Ninth Level - Celestial
And in between them are two stages. Upper and lower. Now you are at Lower - Level Four and I am Upper - Level Five.]
[So, I'm just a few stages behind you... Okay, I got my new year goal! To be a level higher than you!]
[Hehe, good luck with that.]
In a trance of her old memories, Scarlet never did surpass Andy. He was always a level higher than her. In their old world, being in the higher level was all for survival. The ones in the lower levels were always killed, and even if you were in a higher level it didn't mean anything if you can't fight against unexpected attacks. Everyday was always a fight to stay alive. Scarlet didn't remember what level she was before Andy time traveled her, but she knew his level. Andy was Lower Level Six. He was the only one she knew who was at that level, until the BLOOD DRIVE young master managed to get to Upper Level Seven, and Shane, Lower Level Seven.
Now that she thinks about it, there was no way they could have escaped. They were surrounded by Upper Level Five bodyguards, and Shane. Andy, bought as much time as he could to cast Triangular Lock on her and him. And that was already a very strong technique.
Scarlet snaps back to reality the moment one of the twins came to close quarter with her. She slowly looks at them. They were at least 6 feet tall, and of standard look. Ridrick looked a lot better than them. One had orange hair and jade eyes and the other was just a bit darker. The one with the dark color was Wallick, and the other Willlick. Kind of like a Jack and Jill, only Wall and Will.
Scarlet chuckles at their name. Will's eyes twitch at her action, "I am Willick Adason. He is my brother Wallick Adason. And we are only here for the female general who captured one of our town boards. Bring her here, and no harm shall be done to the soldiers who surrender."
Scarlet looks at them in silence. Wall was getting irritated at her, "Are you deaf! Did you not hear my brother's demands!"
She blinks at them, "I did? And what about it?"
"What?!" Wall was ready to pounce on her but Will held him back.
"It would be wise to listen when we are still being nice about it, woman," said Will.
Scarlet smirks at them. She had seen many men like them before. One acts like a know it all, and the other the tough guy. Honestly, not even a shred of their bloodthirst intimidates her. She yawns out in disappointment.
The closer she got to them, the more she could tell what their level was. When the soldier told her that they were famous and was only at level three, Scarlet was expecting more. Even those with a lower level can beat higher level, but was that only in her world?
When she got close to them, all she felt was just Upper level two... How the hell did they misinterpret it as Upper Level Three?
Scarlet sighs out in disappointment. With a quick review of the owners body, she too was a Lower Level Two cultivator. It's not a wonder as to why they sent these two to come deal with her. What was really bugging Scarlet was that she didn't know her own cultivation level. Seeing how these two were only at Upper 2, she needed to adjust it or else she wouldn't be able to fully explore what this body is capable of handling. One of the first rules Andy taught her when having too much cultivation power in a body, it needs to be able to handle it first.
Wall thought that Scarlet was scared of them due to her silence. He smirks at her and says, "Brother, this woman is scared of us. We should just finish her off and find that female general."
"You're right Wall," said Will with an evil smirk.
Scarlet notices a change in them. They were getting ready to attack. She smirks at them.
<Good... Let's see how fast and agile this body is.>
Wall disappears at the burst of sparks and appears behind Scarlet. His hand surrounded by scorching heat rams straight to her eyes. As though in slow motions, Scarlet quickly dodges his attack and smacks his shoulder.
CRACK
His left shoulder's bone shatters in an instant. Wall bellows out in pain. Will's eyes widened in shock, "WALLICK!"
Will rushes over like a mad bull toward Scarlet and changes his fingers into fireballs. He shoots them in all directions towards her. Scarlet digs her feet into the ground and kicks out a bunch of soil creating an earth shield before her. All of the fireballs melted the soil into clay. A bit in shock, Will hesitates on what to do next. This hesitation cost him his life.
Scarlet appears out of thin air and stabs him right in the left chest. She drugged out his heart and crushed it in her hand. Wall, who witnessed the whole thing mourns for his fallen brother. Even though his shoulder was just broken and was suffering from the pain, he was able to get up and charge at Scarlet.
Without even lifting so much a finger, Scarlet kicks his head hard, making a crunching noise as his head did a 180 degree turn. The two twin flames of Huns were dead on the ground, lifeless. One with a twisted head, and the other with a gutted out heart.
The anger she held in when Andy sacrificed himself for her sake was taken out on the twins unknowingly. No, she knew she was taking out her anger on them, and now she felt a lot better. She had also experienced how strong and agile the body was. It was a lot stronger than her previous body but less agile. She had to use a bit of a skill to avoid the fast attack Wall pulled on her.
Now she knows what she needed to train this body in, but she didn't discover what her cultivation level was at. This was what greatly disappointed her. She let her emotion rule over her again. Andy had constantly reminded her to think before acting, but she always forgot. But taking the anger she held in for so long felt like a heavy burden was lifted from her chest.
Ian, who said that he would support her from behind the scene, was drinking tea in his tent. He was waiting for the news of her failure so that he could come out at the right timing and save the day. It was perfect. This would further give him more fame to his name. Loud noises were being made from outside his tent. It was time. As he majestically marches out from his tent, one of the soldiers yells out.
"Captain Ashegrey defeated the Twin Flames! We won once again because of her!"
"Victory in the captain's name!"
Veins started to break out of his forehead. Just who did they say saved the day?
He looks at the battle scene, and anyone could tell it was a one sided fight. Scarlet didn't sustain any kind of injuries nor did she open any of her old one. Both of her enemies were brutally dead on the ground. Ian looks at her in disbelief.
<Was she always this strong? This useless woman whose only a Lower2?>
Scarlet wipes off the blood that stained her face when she pulled out Will's heart. She turned around and saw Ian staring at her in disbelief. His expression was somewhat delighting. Again, with the same smile, "Ian! Look! I won!"
