New day, same thing- but with a new twist.
Kye has been kinda entertaining for Kohji, he reminded him of Blair when she rage quit, comical anger.
There was some yelling sessions that nearly broke out in to fights in the store through out the morning- something about this guy can set anyone in to anger almost immediately when he goes off. Kohji was suspecting that's what Kye wanted, he wanted people angry like him- He'll never ask why of course.
Right now Barker and Travis are talking to him in the backroom about his attitude driving customers away- and you can hear the whole conversation.
Since they're were no customers currently and it was close to his break, Kohji made his way over to the back room and walked in-
"I'm gonna take my break now" he cut in, grabbing his jumper and PSP, he stopped and saw the three- Barker had a blood lip and was pinned to the wall by Kye who was being pulled off by Travis who looked like he wen't through a tornado. How the fuck did this happen so silently.
"I want mine now too" Kye said and shook them all of and stood away.
"Good, stay the fuck outside 'till you learn some human manners yeah?" Travis barked. "The hell heppened here?" Kohji asked and looked to them all and stood beside Kye who was looking like he was about to go again.
"That piece of shit won't calm down enough to communicate like a human is what!- he's scaring the customers away during this time of year...he's gonna fuck it all up!" Travis handed Barker some tissues.
"Then don't have me on the floor where I have to talk to anyone!" Kye shouted, they both arked up at each other again, "The'fuck else are ya gonna work if you ain't on floor.Dude."
Barker stood to join, "do any of you boys recall the name of the store!?"
"Alright, alright. Calm ya tits ladies.. " Kohji said hands up, they all glare to him, "When we get back he can help behind the counter, maybe you can bag some shit..." he spoke and looked to Kye, who put his hands in his pockets, "You won't have to talk to a soul, I'll do the talking"
Kye nodded, "yeah I'll give it a go" he said, then boofed out the door. Kohji looked at the other two in the sounds of the rain outside- "See?, not hard to deal with.." he said amused and backed out the door.
Under the eaves over the stairs was Kye sitting on the steps at the bottom near a puddle, he saw Kohji looking to him in the reflection and looked up to see he was standing beside him, then sat.
Kye shuffled away, "you mind?" he muttered. "no, this has been my seat for 7 years"- "fuck"
They sat in silence under the rain around them. Kye was calming down looking to the surroundings and the rain while Kohji for the first time in a while, didn't want to play the PSP.
Thoughts of Blair, again. What is there to think, you know nothing yet, think about it when it's time.
"Are those assholes usually that... pussy?" Kye asked, Kohji snapped out of the thoughts and looked to the angry man beside him, "why, they scared your terrifying customers off in the one time of year HappyGames actually makes a decent profit?... nah, can't be true".
Kye kinda chuckled and looked away "shut up, that's not what I meant".
He looked to Kohji, and what seemed like he got embarrassed but held the eye contact this time, "Are you?" he asked.
Without changing expressions, Kohji looked him right in the eyes, he was serious- "You have been the most interesting thing that's happened in 7 years".
Kye's face went from pail to flushed red instantly and he stood out in the rain, he felt his heart skip. He didn't understand how this was making him feel somethings he's never felt before, what was he meant to do now?-did he mean what he thought it meant?.
"Dude, I've been working the same job for 7 years, nothings changed. Now we have a guy who's not shy in knocking dudes out... fuck that's cool" Kohji said, face lit up like a little kid- he legit was excited.
Kye calmed down and sat back down, "you think?" he asked, "awwah, man- the look on their faces when the dude smashed shit on the way down... pricless..".
Kye smiled, "so you're really not scared?"
Kohji nodded, "Not a bit"
Kye smiled and nodded, he seemed a little embarrassed, but he was fine with it.
"Kohji Santana"
"Kye Riot"
"...Is that really your last name??" Kohji shockingly asked, this guy acts cool, looks cool and now named cool?.
"yeah... and is that yours??"
"..yeah"
They both looked away and in to the rain, "I actually like the band" Kye added. Kohji felt like he smiled again.
***
Hours passed and Kohji helped Kye work behind the counter - not a single argument was given from him, the customers, Barker or Travis. And Kye seemed to enjoy the work a little more not having to talk to anyone other than one person.
Funny enough, the pair of them were joking about things here and there and the word was dropped that they might want to hang out a little after work.
They have no idea where they're going, what they're doing- but they both agreed it'll be something different either way and that was enough to convince them.
