Flames sprouted into the air, like strong pillars of resolve and strength. A man with a small frame stepped through the flames with a manic cackle. His laughter, hysterical and psychotic; Like a hyena on laughing gas. His eyes went wide and he swung his head back in an ecstatic display of arousal.
"Oh God I love it when they burn!!!" He screamed his eyes rolling into the back of his head. His arms went limp and lifeless dropping to his sides, he twitched as he reached his peak. he limped forward and life shot into his body, like a puppet on strings he danced forward with inhuman amounts of contortion and speed.
"A Demon, C-Call the Imperialium!!" A heavy set man shouted before being tackled by the flaming loving man. fear spread throughout the heavy man's body as he gazed into the Arsonists eyes, cold lifeless and vacant, there was no one home but primal instinct and murderous intent. "Oh God not another Tuner!"
"Oh no I'm much worse" He spoke with a crackly hoarse voice that was painful to hear. His hands moved from the Heavy man's wrists, and gripped his throat. Sparks and embers sparkled off the man's hands as smoke soon rose into the air. "I'm a Hitman" The man's messy salt and pepper fell over his face. His sickening yellow teeth was all the man saw before he erupted into flames. The flame loving man stood up as smoke, flames and other such destruction surrounded him like an orchestra of human devastation. His lips pulled back as he slowly stalked towards the fleeing surviors.
"My...My that's.....Cheating" he spoke in broken fragments as he reached his peak again, the scent of burning corpses filling his being. "you.....shouldn't run" Flames gathered around him, he waved his hands and they shot off like rockets. "Come.......now......you're only" He stopped himself and lunged backwards his spine undulated in an unnatural way. He howled like an inhuman beast, his sense completely foregone and all that remained was primal rage.
"Oh Lord Vastel have mercy it is a demon" a woman screamed tears welling in her eyes. she turned and ran as fast as her legs could carry herself. The man hunted after her with a single minded "want" Flames trailed with every step he took. They erupted into great pillars of blue hellish flames. The woman screamed flailing her arms and waling like a banshee hoping to get the attention of someone. Every second she spent catching her breath He drew closer. a town, rustic, old timey welcomed the screaming woman. Buildings surounded her on all sides, she continued to run. squeezing her way through the alleyway, she tripped and caught herself on her hands screaming and sobbing.
"The Hunter always wins" a alluring voice called from behind her. As flames sprouted on all sides trapping her in.
"Why? Why are you doing this?" The woman backed away as the man drew ever closer. He reached out his hand and gently left a pat on the woman's head.
"Business, its only business" the man spoke as flames sprouted on the ground like blooming flower petals. The woman tried to scream but was eternally silenced.
Meanwhile....
In a grand hall a meeting was held. Knights sat at a round table. An elder knight slammed his hands on the table, righteous indignation in his voice as as smile pursed his lips. He had black hair, five o clock shadow, blue eyes and silver armor.
"Men a demon has been spotted in the Rolling hills of Signia, As the Imperialium's right arm it is our sworn duty to erase any and all demonic threats"
"B-But sir there hasn't been any demons not since the Culling years ago"
"Well there's one here causing a ruckus, alive and damned well, or is my report incomplete Lt. Lancelot?" He over enunciated to punctuate his sentence with a hint of superiority in his words. He snapped his fingers, an elderly man appeared to his left. A long wooden staff slammed against the ground when he made his entrance resounding through the room with a booming Thunk!
"I personally will be heading out to deal with this demonic threat, those who wish to come follow me" he said standing up and nodding to the bearded man. The man showed signs of severe aging, wrinkles and tight almost paper thin skin that gripped to his bones. A long nearly foot long beard, with a hood that obscured his face.
"let's go Merlin"
"As you wish Commander" Merlin the elderly man took hold of the commander's shoulder and with a flash they were gone. The commander and Merlin appeared in the burning town where the "demon" was sighted. Flames taller than a man shot into the sky, smoke eclipsed the sun and bodies lay in the street burning.
"Johan I fear we may be too late" Merlin spoke with a booming yet calm voice.
"Nonsense Merlin" Commander Johan nodded to himself "I can feel a pressure up ahead, Come along mage"
"As you wish Commander" Merlin sighed and followed the black haired knight. Opening the door of a seemingly undamaged building there they saw it. "The Demon" Hunched over like a gremlin covered in blood, soot and ash. His hands dripping with red ichor, his hair messily hanging over his eyes. His lips pulled back in a sickening smile.
"My didn't realize I would have guests over...please do make yourselves comfortable" The demon was suddenly upright. Menacingly he stood with open arms as flames gathered in his hands.
"Demon! By order of the Imperialium I order you surrender or face immediate Execution"
"Oh? and who might you be?"
"Johan Vonderstaltz Vice Commander of the Southwestern Branch"
"Oh is that so?" The demon smiled wider than he had ever smiled emitting a low gravely his he introduced himself. "I'm Jig Foslta a Hitman"
"A hitman? no no this cannot be right my report said you were a demon"
"Well that's an unfortunate present" Jig chuckled his voice slowly fading into nothing as the memory faded.
With gasp, cold sweat and a painful migraine. Jig awoke older, wiser and more human. He huffed and heaved as more and more of the memory played. "I'M NO MURDERER NOT ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!" He screamed holding his head breaking into a sob.
