I'm taking a lot of inspiration from manga. I don't know many other comic styles, but I like manga anyway, it's part of the reason I fell in love with art. I stopped drawing in "anime style" for a long time because art teachers frowned on it, but it kinda just made me stop drawing all together. Dunno how drawing anime style is any different than everyone coming out drawing in CalArts style.
