"You're really going to do this?" Violet asked. It had been a three weeks since Ioana had been murdered by that horrible organization and a few days since her children came to live with me. The news of her death shook our community hard and we held a vigil in honor of our fallen brethren. As for her children, they were traumatized after the horrors they witnessed. The nightmares they had every single night were horrible and unimaginable, which caused her to wake up screaming and crying in the middle of the night. Those children needed me more than anything and they were my top priority at this moment.
Aside from that, my grief over the loss of such a precious and longtime friend was nothing compared to the anger I felt at those bastards. Not only had they killed my friend, but they had made a video with her body as a warning to us witches and warlocks as a warning. They wanted us to know that they were coming after us even harder than before and that they were on the search for her children. The fact that they would even do that angered me and I wanted nothing more than to have their heads and hearts on a platter.
Because of their horrendous actions, I had decided to go on a dangerous mission to Romania. This mission was one where I possibly wouldn't make it out unharmed, but the possible physically pain did not compare to the one on the heart. Violet was against the entire plan, but she knew that she could not stop me. No one could because this was solely my decision and my decision alone. If there are consequences after I do this, then I will gladly take them without any problem once I come back. Until then, I'm going to do this no matter how big the danger is.
"Yes," I responded.
"Sofia, this is dangerous," She said.
"I know it is, Violet, but this is something that I need to do," I replied. She sighed out of frustration and walked away from me.
"She's right, Sofia. This is dangerous and suicidal," Gloria informed me.
"I know that too," I muttered.
"Then why not actually calm down and just stay here? There is no need for you to put yourself into some unnecessary danger," Gloria insisted.
"I appreciate the concern, but this is just something I need to do. Not only have they murdered our people, but they had the nerve to parade her body around like it was some trophy," I explained, "I'm not going to let them disrespect her anymore than they have."'
Sofia-"
"If all you two are going do is slow me down, then I'm leaving. I'll see you when I get back," I firmly stated standing up.
"Sofia, please just stop and think about this," Violet begged, "You're going to get yourself killed."
Without another word, I walked towards the fireplace and disappeared into the flames. Soon, I had been transported to Transylvania Romania. More specifically, outside of one of many headquarters of this terrorist organization. Luckily, I was more than fifty feet away from the place, but this was a good distance for me to do what I needed to do. A woman that looked to be part of the organization passed by where I was hiding. Using my magic, I dragged her back towards me while she struggled and made a fuss.
She was silenced instantly as soon as her neck was broken. The noises she made stopped and her body was dropped to the floor. My body transformed into hers and I stripped her down to her undergarments to put on her clothes. I took everything from her weapons to her memory and her way of speaking and talking to make myself look not so suspicious. As for her, she was transformed into a different person permanently. I grabbed her body and dragged it along with me towards the entrance.
"Ava! How are you doing today?" One of the security guards greeted. A friendly smile formed onto my lips at the greeting.
"I'm doing fine, Jake. This thing here tried to kill me as I made my way back," I responded. The amount of disgust that I felt as soon as the words left my mouth was horrible. It almost made me throw up just having to talk like these people.
"Well you know what to do with her. Just take her over to the shoot so they can burn her," He chuckled.
"Will do, man," I nodded, "And make sure you tell the wife."
He sighed loudly.
"Speaking of the wife, she's been on my case lately about me working too much. She thinks I've been working too hard," He sighed. Anymore of this pointless conversation and I'll end up ripping out his heart and forcing him to watch me eat it.
"Well you have to spend time with your wife, man. How do you think my wife and I have been married for so long?" I responded.
"That's true," He nodded.
"I've been meaning to ask. Where did they prop up the body of Ioana Mihai?" I inquired.
"Oh that thing? They placed it around the east side of the building along her with the bodies of her family. They're going to be there for a while until we cut them up and examine them," He explained. The fuck?! I've heard rumors of them doing things like this, but I didn't think it could possibly be true. This just shows how inhuman these bastards really are. Their deaths will bring me great peace.
"Okay. Well I'm going to go check it out for a bit. William has been trying to get me to go see it for a while because they've been pissing and shitting around it," I informed him. He laughed at this information that I did not find at all one bit.
"That's just like William and those other idiots," He chuckled. I joined in on the laughter as my stomach became sick. It was horrifying to even be sitting here entertaining this bastard.
"I might join in a bit on the fun," I smiled.
"Make sure you take videos and pictures. I need a good laugh," He responded.
"Will do," I nodded before walking away. Using this bitch's memory, I walked towards the shoot where the bodies go and dumped her in there with no type of remorse. Once all of this is over, I might just go and kill her wife and two children just for revenge.
As I continued on towards the east side of the building, I was greeted left and right by many people. Luckily, she was a social, well liked, and well respected person because it was easy to keep suspicion of me. If she had not been as social, then I would have had a hard time getting around. Not only that, but nobody would question what I was about to do one bit.
When I arrived on the east of the building, my eyes were instantly on their bodies. It took everything in me to keep my composure and not break down crying, but I managed to do so with a straight face. Ioana and her oldest daughters were nailed onto very tall crosses. Their faces were bloodied and beaten, their eyes were opened with pure terror embedded into them, and their faces were frozen in pure shock and horror. This was a horrible sight to witness and I could not believe that this was reality. It just didn't feel real to me. Seeing their bodies like this was horrifying and sad. How could they just kill such a great and powerful woman? How could they desecrate their bodies like this.
"Ioana," I whispered softly. The men and women around the area were sitting around laughing and taking pictures while throwing things at them like common school children. It angered me so much that the disguise I was wearing turned to ash. Everything had gone back to normal and a mask had materialized onto my face. The mask was to conceal my identity and make sure they could not track me. One of the men noticed me and raised his gun, but I was quicker. He dropped instantly to the earth. The others soon became alert of my presence. They surrounded me with their weapons raised and ready to fire. I cocked an eyebrow behind the mask and looked at all of them.
"You Hunters have insulted my people for too long! This is payback!" I snapped. They all began to burst into flames within seconds. They screamed and rolled around trying to put out the fire, but it just blazed even more with each attempt. The sound of them screaming in pain and agony gave me great satisfaction. An alarm went off and more soldiers began surround me. I knew this was going to be a very long battle, but it was going to be worth it. I was going to burn this place down to the ground.
I flicked my wrist in the direction of my fallen friend's body along with those of her family back to my home. It would be too distracting to just have them here while I fought my hardest. Turning back to them, I yelled,
"BRING IT ON!"
The fight between me and the members of this branch went on for hours upon end. It was beginning to exhaust me just a little, but I could keep going as long as these bastards were alive. However, I'm sure that they had already called reinforcements from all over the world. It was best to just this entire thing up now and head home as quickly as possible before they even caught me.
I was still in the area I was in before and countless bodies laid around me. Most were charred, impaled, or ripped apart to the point of where they were unrecognizable. If I kept this up, then I would be on my knees in no time.
"As much as I would like to stay here and chat, I need to wrap this up," I said. My hand raised in the air and I snapped my fingers. Their bullets began flying, but I managed to get away from the spot completely and land back where I originally was hours before. Once there, I dropped to ground out of exhaustion and panted as I sat against the tree. At least two bullets had grazed me, but it barely hurt due to the amount of adrenaline rushing through my veins.
After catching my breath, I made a barrier around the entire facility and the areas surrounding it. Thankfully, it was a large area that was not very well known and located deep in the mountains. The barrier didn't allow anything to get in or to get out either. This barrier made my life so much easier.
"Perire."
The large facility began to blow up inside of the barrier. As if it were a scene in a movie, I watched the entire place go up in blazes with cold and unfeeling eyes. This is the price they pay for all the atrocities they've done against my people. Just the sight of them all trying to leave the barrier and run away caused a strange feeling to bubble in my chest. The feeling continued to bubble up until I couldn't hold it in anymore. A strange noise left my lips as I watched them all suffer greatly. This feeling scared me a little, but soon I realized that it was laughter. It was maniacally hysterical laughter. It did just feel weird.
It felt great.
It felt great to watch them all suffer like this. They looked like a rat in a maze that they couldn't get out of. They were trapped inside their own personal hells and it was funny. It was funny because they did not deserve any sympathy nor did they deserve to fearful of what was happening to them. This was hilarious.
As quickly as the laughter had came, it left. My face became straight and I stood to my feet. My magic healed my wounds quickly and I dusted off my clothes.
"STOP!" I heard from behind me. Looking over my shoulder, I found a man standing there with a gun while his body shook with mostly fear. It was the security guard from earlier. A smirk formed onto my lips when I looked at him as I began walking towards him. From the moment I saw him, I knew he was weak and the fact that he got out before he could suffer like the rest proved it to me.
"Don't move!" He yelled. I ignored his warnings continued towards him. He shot at me, but missed due to the shaking. This was going to be fun.
With lightning speed, I appeared in his face and knocked the gun out of his hands. He looked at me in pure terror as I stood in front of him.
"Cowards like you are such easy targets," I softly murmured slipping off the mask. His eyes widened when he saw my face.
"P-Please...sp-spare...m-me..." He begged. My finger tapped against my chin as if I was really contemplating letting him live, but I knew full well that I was want.
"Nope," I shook my head, "Any other requests?"
He just broke down crying in front of me and broke down crying in front of me. He began blubbering about his wife, his kids, and his dog which I did not give a flying shit about. It was really annoying and I hated it.
"Shhh. Shhh," I softly said, "It'll all be over soon."
His eye widened in fear and he opened his mouth to scream. He was instantly cut off by my lips on his. He tried pushing me away, but I wouldn't let go. I used tongue as I continued to kiss him while his entire life force was sucked out each second. His pushed became weaker and weaker until finally they stop. I dropped his husk to the earth and wiped the corner of my lips.
"You may be dead now, but your breath stinks," I said.
