CHAPTER 4 - The Long Awaited Identity Part I

3. A few months have passed and Noo-un is fifteen years old now, as well as Nalaiya, with Sano now seventeen. They have been training and learning even more than before, especially about Noo-un's seemingly warrior identity. The kids became great friends, trusting each other since their talk when Nalaiya was hurt. 

The Mentor blows his stick whistle one dusty morning and says, "everyone out!! We have great news we what you to hear." 

Everyone runs from the building of where the kids stay, standing in line as they usually do, "we have found evidence of our warrior, the one who will kill that 100-year span demon, to save us all, stand here, my son, when I read this aloud from the book of the Southern Island, you kids will understand, that he is the warrior!" 

"Wait? No, Noo-un is the warrior, not Mardis!" 

"Shush, Nay, maybe this is happening for a reason." Sano says calming her down, but Nalaiya starts saying, "are you okay with this? The words of the book describe you, and to show it like it said." 

"I don't know, in the book of the Southern Island it says that a crystal will appear to you, after you have a dream about you being someone that is different and powerful, and as the sky flashes to a time of day, it confirms, the new you, and it's even said that a flying creature will come and get you." 

"Great memory, I forgot that." 

"Of course you did, Sano." Nalaiya touches Noo-un's shoulder and says, "you are the warrior, come on, believe it, we've been at this for months and none of it screams Mardis." 

"Everyone! Silence!" The Mentor shouts, " my son, our new warrior has appeared!" 

Everyone starts clapping for him as Mardis shows up, dressed finely in a skin fitted pants robe which is traditional Sojudi attire for someone achieving success. 

He walks in front of everyone full of pride, holding a special crystal in front of everyone, holding it up to the crowd as his mother and father stand with him, as he presents his crystal saying with a pleasant voice, "I woke up this morning and found this lovely crystal, it was just on the floor, shining brightly with it's red color of strength, right...After I had a powerful dream about being near fire, and my eyes looked like they were red, and this creature was next to me, my pet, and I was walking with it away from the fire, with a sword and shield, while this the sky was like noon, and then I woke up, and the crystal was there, the one I'm holding, right at you guys to prove it, because my dream I can still see, especially my red fire hair looking vicious to kill the 100-year span demon." 

"Yes, son, we will celebrate this weekend of your new found presence!" 

"Yes, save us my son, we know you will." His mother says back. 

"Wait!!" Nalaiya shouts as everyone looks at her, Nalaiya walks up to them and says, "If you are the warrior, then where is your ride? The creature that will come and take you right away?" 

"Are you dumb, the creature does not come right away here, know your facts before you try to speak them correctly, miss." The mentor shouts at her, his tone of voice always so snarky.

He brushes against her shoulder to speak to everyone, as Nalaiya stands there sad and confused, then she runs away into their shelter as Sano and Noo-un follow her. 

CHAPTER 5 - The Long Awaited Identity Part II

3. That night, Sano and Noo-un sit on their beds as they are talking to Nalaiya about what happened earlier, "so...You are really mad about me not being the warrior, are you?" Nalaiya jumps up from her bed and says, "yes! This is so important to you, and now it's wasted on Mardis! This is not for him, it's for you, I can feel it, Noo-un." 

"What if it is me..?" 

"Sano, really?" 

"Sorry..." 

"Nalaiya I appreciate this and your effort, but get with the fact that is it not me!" 

"I can't..."

"Why?" Annoyed by her, he watches Nalaiya walk away from him while looking to the window of the night sky saying softly, "I had a dream, that same dream that Mardis described, when he was talking about everything that went in his dream and all, but I had this dream last month, and it was exactly how he described it, except one important thing besides the dragon creature, there was two people, I wasn't physically there but I was watching it, and the guys were fighting each other, and the one who was the warrior, so called Mardis, beat the other guy, who looked more like Mardis, actually the one who was beat was Mardis, and the warrior one looked just like you, the one Mardis thinks is him, this is why I am so mad about it, because it is not fair, it isn't him, like he thinks it is, it's you, I saw the face," she turns around to him, "I was shown this and I know I was, I can see the dream everyday, I know what he is talking about, but he is lying, he was beat in the dream, you see now, I learned my lesson for talking bad about you all my life, that must be why the Creator gave me this dream." 

"I...But the crystal he saw, he has the crystal, and he has obvious proof of it." "But what if it is fake..?" Sano adds in.

"Fake?" Nalayia says.

"Like the workmen here, that could have made it." 

"If that is the case, then we'll get him ourselves." Noo-un finishes Sano's words.

"Or we can go see a workmen to see if it is true that they make fake crystals." 

"But we...Wait? We can do that?" Sano questions.

Both Noo-un and Nalayia give each other a look while looking over to Sano who says to them, "ohhh so we're trying to do this now...?"

They both nod at him and then each other.

They leave and sneak out of the building, as everyone is being prepared to go home after Mardis's party. 

Of course there are guards outside, so they quietly use all of their training to get out, and they quietly walk into the village, since it is night time, it is easier for them to not be seen. 

"Guys, where is the place, it must be secret to sell fake crystals. We can't sit here all night to find it?" Sano asks.

"Yeah, we have to be back before those guards wake up and tell our Mentor what happened, we cannot risk that." Noo-un says after.

"Yeah, you're right Noo-un, we must get back." Sano replies.

"Guys, we can't give up, we can find a secret place in time." 

"Let's go, Nalaiya!" Noo-un says.

They return to the training camp and see a mysterious figure lurking behind a few trees, then Mardis shows up and walks to the figure, the kids get closer to hear, and he starts saying, "thank you, Anora, for the fake crystal, seriously, you are so amazing to be able to make these, these suckers definitely believe me, except the one girl Nalaiya, but she won't matter, I'll deal with her." 

Mardis gives the woman a hug, and then he leaves as the woman walks away. "What, I can't believe he wants to deal with me." 

"He will never." Sano says seriously.

"Let's go in the house, I know now what to do." Noo-un says as they walks back inside.
