Teaming Up with System 225

Leaving the Villain System (3)

Leaving the Villain System (3)

Jan 08, 2021

King Percy sat on his throne, knowing that his life was going to end. He stared at the entrance of the throne room, waiting for the leaders of the resistance to arrive. He waited for his death, more so, yearned for it, but his face was calm, unlike the excitement that danced inside his heart. No one could hear the choruses of "finally" that seemed to echo in his mind.

King Percy had been waiting for this day since the day he came into this body. Nothing was more exciting than finally ending his suffering, even if it was just for a brief moment.

The door opened with a bang, and many people filed in. With blood on their swords and their faces filled with determination. The knights made way for the three men who stood at the center of the room.

These three men were King Percy's own children! They were the masterminds of the rebellion.

"Hello, King Percy." The oldest son didn't even regard the King as his father.

"It seems my time has come to an end." King Percy said, still as calm as a stagnant lake.

The second son scoffed. "Since you know, this will be easier."

King Percy looked at his so-called kids and laughed. "I did the same as you have done to me, but with your grandfather—a tyrant who killed and slaughtered thousands of his citizens with no regard. At the time, I led the rebellion. And now you all are doing the same to me. It seems what goes around really does come around, just like how this world is a sphere, rotating through the universe, making a complete circle. Like the circle of life, I, too, will live and die, just as my father did. One of you will share the same fate. "

"Enough! We will not be like you!" The third son yelled.

"Really?! Then who will be the King when I die? Will you three govern this kingdom? Or will your greed take over and have you kill the ones you once called comrades? Hilarious!"

King Percy stepped down from his throne, seemingly becoming madder and madder.

"The crown is nothing but a pile of lies and bones. Bloodshed and horrors made the walls of these castles. The more you sit on this throne, the worse you get until you can't keep your sanity!"

"Enough with your lies! It's time for you to die!"

A sword stabbed through King Percy's chest. In his last moments, he spat out his curse. "Just like me, you will all lose your sanity, never to be satisfied, never to be happy. May you be cursed like I have been cursed."

And with that, King Percy fell to the ground; the Host's soul was yanked quickly out of the body.

Hey everyone, Grandpa Mark here. Support me by giving me some Ko-fi. I'm a broke college student teehee.

And I know these chapters are a bit short but once Arc 1 gets going, the chapters will be longer!

Also, I forgot to mention this but I have Arcs 0-5 done but my editor is going to need some time to edit all of it. I have scheduled to post a chapter every couple of days but depending on if my editor hasn't caught up, so even though there's no indication on what I have and have not edited, I feel it should be fine. I will update the chapters once my editor comes around. My editor is not getting paid and she's doing this out of the kindness of her heart, so please bear with us.

Ah, yes. When you grow all so tired and broken about the very essence of life...you wait for death like you would for your very first outing with your friends. T_T
Something about a group of knights walking in all armed and covered in blood is......eerie. And scary. As heroic as it sounds, it does mean the downfall of the other party.
His own children? Why am I not surprised? I mean, they were merely pawns to him when they, as children, should have been way more than that. (*-* )
Hmm, with great power comes greater responsibility and perhaps, even greater risks of loosing it all. Sanity included. T^T
And the king falls. Passes the curse onto his bloodline. Gets his soul yeeted outta his system. Hmm, perfect. XD

With the creation of different dimensions and universes, came forth intelligent beings. To regulate these dimensions and universes, higher beings took control of containers called UniOrbs. These containers not only regulated the Gods and the souls of those worlds but also dictated the processes of reincarnation. The UniOrb could not do this on their own, so they contracted souls to become "Systems" that made sure souls were able to reincarnate, but not all souls were fortunate enough to do so. "Systems" then teamed up with souls called "Hosts" to make sure unfortunate souls got their wishes fulfilled, their souls healed properly, and ready for reincarnation. To make sure the Systems and Hosts had a proper base of operations, the UniOrb created a separate space called the Command Center. This Command Center was at the entrance of the reincarnation sea, where souls would go to their next destination. The person in charge was called, "God System."

One System was not satisfied with their status quo. They created something known as the "Villain System." This Villain System was designed to suck the life and energy from different worlds, using it to spread a virus that would slowly take over the UniOrb. Their goal: Take over the UniOrb to become the new higher being that controlled it.

When all hope seemed to be lost for those in the UniOrb and its Command Center, one System, System 225, gained control from the Villain System, rescued his "Host," and together go from world to world, gaining enough energy to combat the System that created the Villain System.

Oh, and also rescuing God System along the way.
