The two boys stood in awkward silence for a few minutes before Abel decided it would be best to break it.
"So, what now?"
"Rest. I have an idea on where to go first but it'll take a while to get there, so save up your energy for tomorrow."
Abel nods, waves briefly, and begins to walk off again. Strolling back home for a couple minutes, he noticed the soft sound of footsteps behind him. He turned around with a sigh.
"Why are you following me?" he asked icily.
Tobias shuffled about awkwardly and his cheeks flushed a little. "Don't make fun of me but... I don't have a home."
Appalled, Abel drew closer to Tobias and ruffled his messy hair. "Why would I make fun of you for something like that? Where do you normally go?"
"I normally sneak into the Witching Academy for Gifted Children, but it's closed on exam nights so that students don't try to forge their scores."
"C'mon then." Abel huffed, shoving his hands in his pockets, and resuming to walk, "S'pose a bit of company can't hurt. But you better not try any witchy crap whilst I'm sleeping, yeah?"
The witch's face lit up in an instant, as he bounded up to walk alongside his new friend.
