“What a fine day – ” The thing approached her. The hallway seemed endless. No way out. It was getting closer and closer. Leave me alone! She thought, but her voice didn’t want to say it out loud. It was scared, paralyzed.
“To come here and say – ” It continued, its voice hitting hard. Suddenly, it just disappeared. Olivia stopped running. She knew that it wasn’t gone, but she focused on what was in front of her. A dead end. An actual dead end. Finally. The dead end was a room filled with a ton of different guitars. She kept staring, not noticing the face of the bunny materializing behind her shoulders. Slowly, lifelessly.
“That your face and flesh, I must flay.” It grabbed her neck, almost breaking it. It lifted Olivia up. She finally had a good look at it, after almost five weeks, and it opened its mouth. In a matter of seconds, it shoved her deep inside its throat, violently closing its mouth once she couldn’t go any further. Her screams could vaguely be heard. Her lower half was sticking out of its mouth, blood started to drop from between its teeth.

Olivia woke up, sweating hard. Her eyes were bloody, wide open. Her breathing was unusually loud. Her heart was pumping hard on her chest, she couldn’t stop hearing it. It was unbearable. She got out of her bed, standing up with a ton of struggle, and she reached for her phone.
9:23 A.M.
Please be awake, please be awake. She thought fast as she got to her contacts and called Laura.
The phone rang…
P-Please…
“Hello?” Laura said.
“H-Hi. I-I-“ Olivia’s voice sounded weak, scared, horrified.
“Wow, wow, wow, are you alright?”
“N-No… I am…” Olivia’s heart was pumping fast. “I’m…” Very fast. “I…” Too fast. Her voice was struggling, she could barely hear her cousin.
“Olivia?” Laura’s voice was now both concerning and scared.
“L-L-Laura…” Her heart was too much to handle. Olivia dropped to the floor, making a very loud noise in the process that Laura definitely heard.
Laura was driving her car fast. Her mind kept repeating the same thought: Please be alright. She could feel the panic in herself. Once she arrived, Laura parked her car and rushed to the house’s entrance. Luckily, she had a spare key. Inserted and with a twist, the key opened the door. “Olivia?” Laura rushed to her cousin’s bedroom.
Olivia was on the floor. She was knocked out.
“Oh god.” Her eyes grew wide. She checked if Olivia’s heart was alright.
It was pumping but not enough.
Laura saw Olivia’s phone right next to her body. She picked it up and called her parents, who were at work.
“Olivia?” Tim asked on the phone.
“T-This is Laura… O-Olivia’s knocked out o-on her bedroom….” Laura was trying so hard to hold back tears, to scream. She tried to stay calm as much as possible.
“W-What?!”
“P-Please come n-now…” Laura said. It was too much. She hung up the phone and started crying. What happened? That thought ranged in her mind.
Olivia woke up in a bed. She felt tired, slow, and strange. There was a monitor near, as well as an IV Bag. She was wearing some kind of white and long shirt. Confusion was taking over her. There was a window in front of her. She could see her father, her mother, Marty, and Laura. They all seemed in shock.
A doctor came in the room. “You’re awake?”
Olivia was still unsure about what was going on. “W… What happened?” She asked.
“You passed out, got a heart attack.”
“A... Heart attack?”
“A very violent one.” The doctor added.
“J-Jeez… A-Am I okay?” Olivia asked, concerned.
“Thankfully, yes. It’ll take you a day or two before going out.”
Olivia was relieved but quickly slightly panicked. “Wait, what day is it?”
“May 7th. We found you this morning.”
“Oh, thank god… My brother’s birthday is on May 10th and he’s having a party, so I don’t want to miss it, you know.” Olivia sighed with a smile.
“That’s good. We’ll get you out before the event. For now, just rest.”
Olivia nodded. The doctor left the room. Olivia knew exactly what her nightmare was, and she now knew what exactly was chasing her. Bonnie… But why?
Bonnie was always the scariest mascot to her. Almost every time someone talked about the pizza place, she would bring up how unnatural, disturbing, and nonsensical Bonnie was.
It would make sense if he was haunting her nightmares… Burt giving her an actual big heart attack? No, that didn’t make much sense to her…
A few hours pass. Her family gave her multiple visits, she would sometimes sleep, it was pretty boring. The doctor came back to give her dinner. “Here.”
“Thanks.” She said as he gave her the plate.
“Do you want me to turn on the television?”
“Yeah, why not.”
The doctor turned the TV on. “Here you go. Ring the bell once you’re done, alright?”
“Sure thing.” Olivia responded. The doctor left and she started eating. The meal wasn’t the best but enjoyable. Suddenly, she heard the words ‘Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza’ on the TV. “What?” She started watching it.
The reporter was talking about the success of the pizza place, how it was loved by everyone, the animatronics, arcades, and all. He was in front of the show stage, where Freddy, Bonnie and Chica performed their performances… But something was wrong.
Bonnie was missing its guitar…
And he was looking directly at the camera.
Directly at Olivia.
“Good luck!” The doctor said as Olivia left the building. It was May 10th; Marty’s big birthday party was in less than an hour.
“Thanks.” Heading to the pizzeria, Olivia was feeling better. The heart attack still confused her though. Oh well, she had a birthday party to go to. Upon arriving in front of the place, her fears already slowly got back to her. It was way bigger than she thought. A big sign was on top of it with the main mascot, Freddy, and the pizzeria’s name: Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. “Damn…” she said in a low voice. Tim was waiting outside with his wife Clara.
“Hey.” Tim said as he saw Olivia coming to the front door. “It’s good to see you alright again.”
“Thanks, dad.” She said with a nice smile. “Still feeling slightly creeped out.” She added with a tiny giggle.
“It’s going to be alright, don’t worry.” Her father responded.
“And, you know that your father’s almost right all the time, right?” Clara added.
“Yeah, yeah… Is Marty here?”
“He’s with Laura at the entrance.”
“Nice to know. However, I’m sorry but I don’t have a gift for him.” Olivia said, feeling awkward and disappointed at herself.
“It’s fine. Plus, you saw that movie with him, remember? I’d still count that as an early gift.” Her father said.
“Eh, I guess. We should go inside.”
“You’re right, I’m already starving.” Tim said as he opened the door.
“Always with the food, Tim! Never change.” His wife said jokingly.
“Yep!”
Inside the pizzeria. There was a lot of guests, Marty had a lot of friends after all. The main room that the party will happen is the dinning area, which also had the show stage. A lot of balloons, festive decorations and party hats were everywhere, on almost everyone’s head to being stomped on the floor. Finally, loud music was played by the mascots.
“So, what do you want to do first, Marty? Presents or food?” His father asked, having an excited expression with the word ‘food’.
“I don’t know… But I think that I’m hungry.” The now officially thirteen years old Marty responded.
“Great!”
“Oh, I’m not too hungry.” Olivia said. She was still feeling a little lost.
“It’s understandable, don’t worry. What happened three days ago is still stuck to you. You can, or should probably wait and go explore in the meantime, right?” Marty said, almost sounding sage.
“Wow… Thanks no-longer little guy.” Olivia said, trying to sound sarcastic but actually sounding relieved. “I’m gonna go check the arcades and prizes, I guess. Maybe trying to find an ultra-last-minute present?”
“Yes!”
“Alright. See ya in a bit!” Olivia got to the arcade room. It wasn’t as loud as the dinning area, but she could still hear the music. There was a few that were broken for some reasons: buttons missing, smashed screen or out of order. Some games were very old ones, like Pac-Man or Pong. Olivia had fun seeing all of these, it made her nostalgic. Good times, she thought to herself.
A jumping sound came. Olivia turned around, trying to find where it came from. “Huh?” It came again. It wasn’t very loud, but it could still be heard. The arcade room had two doors: one that leads to the dinning area and one that leads to a corridor. The sound came from the corridor. Olivia opened the corridor door. Instead of seeing the usual small corridor with the four doorways that each lead to the bathrooms, two party rooms and the prize area, she saw an extremely long hallway with zero doors. Her heart started pumping again. “No, no, no…” she murmured to herself before quickly closing the door. She stepped back and got in the middle of the room. The sound was now like an ambiance, one that sounded like the rough and heavy voice of Bonnie. The one from her nightmare.
Suddenly, one of the arcade screens flashed to static. Olivia jumped out of surprise and stared at the arcade. The screen was flashing two things very quickly: normal static and a disturbed Bonnie face, staring at Olivia with its tiny black and white eyes. It wasn’t moving one single bit. Bonnie just stared endlessly while the static appeared and disappeared every second. Olivia blinked hard, trying to get rid of the hallucination. If it was indeed one.
Until, the dinning area door opened violently. “Ollie?” Laura said urgently.
“Huh, yeah?”
“Where’s Marty?”
“What?” Olivia could tell that Laura was stressed, panicked. Something wrong happened. “I don’t know, what is happening?”
“He’s gone, we can’t find him anywhere.”
“What?!” Olivia turned to worry too. “Oh hell no. I-I’ll look at the corridor, okay?”
“Okay, please go quickly!”
Olivia rushed to the now normal corridor. She checked both the man and woman bathrooms. No Marty. She then checked the first party room. When she opened the door, a violent version of Bonnie appeared in front of her. A huge, disgusting, and soulless version of Bonnie. Olivia screamed but rushed inside, knowing that it was just a hallucination. She looked around fast, while the monster Bonnie was getting closer to her. No Marty. She quickly got back to the corridor and violently closed the door. Olivia got to the second and final party room. Still no Marty.
When Olivia got back to the corridor, she turned back only to see the endless hallway again. A very small light was in a super far away distance. Olivia didn’t want to approach it, but instead, it did itself. The more the light grew bigger, the more she realized that it was two eyes. Two very familiar eyes. The monster Bonnie was back but bigger and much, much faster. It rushed towards her in crazy speed. She panicked and quickly got inside the prize area.
Bonnie was there. The actual, real life animatronic mascot Bonnie. It was holding Marty, knocked out. “MARTY!” Olivia screamed. The bunny stood there, not moving a bit.
“What a disappointment, you are, even I wouldn’t have committed it!” Bonnie said in the same voice that has been haunting her.
“What, what are you talking about? Leave my brother alone!”
“Bad theft. Oh my, bad theft! You’re a bad theft!” Bonnie kept repeating over and over again. The voice really started to make Olivia slightly sick.
“I’m not a theft, what are you talking about?!”
“You stole my unique instrument, you shall pay for your actions, bad theft!”
Olivia was panicking hard. Her heart was pumping. “W-Wait!!” She quickly figured out the solution. “I didn’t steal your g-guitar… My cousin did.” You better have a proper explanation, Laura. She thought.
“Pardon me? You came here four days ago, stole my incredible guitar out of nowhere as an act for revenge over your fears, and you’re blaming someone else? Bad!”
“I’m saying the truth! Laura came to me with your guitar! And I found out about it when I was at the hospital when you gave me a heart attack! I’m gonna find it!” Olivia said before quickly leaving the room. She rushed to the dinning area and saw Laura still worried.
“Did you find him?” Laura asked.
“What the heck have you done? Where’s the guitar?”
“Huh what?”
“Bonnie needs his guitar; he’s holding Marty captive and calling me a theft because of you!” Olivia explained as quickly as possible.
“Excuse me?!” Laura said.
Olivia saw a pile of gifts near one of the dinning tables. One ad a very interesting shape. She rushed to it and opened it. The red guitar was indeed there. “You better give me a proper explanation, cousin.” Olivia said as she ran back to the prize area.
With a kick to the door, she entered it. “Bonnie, I got it!” she said, showing him his guitar.”
Bonnie approached her, still holding Marty. He looked at the guitar carefully, Olivia thought that it was to see if it was indeed his. “Thank you for retrieving it! Sorry for accidently blaming and haunting you!”
“You’re welcome, please give me back my brother.” She asked, almost crying in fear.
Bonnie let go of Marty. Her brother was still knocked out. “He is just a little sleepy, do not worry. He’ll be fine, just like my performance!”
“O-Okay… Why do you haunt me anyway?”
“You’re afraid and I was trying to make you more comfortable with me, the funny bunny, until I misunderstood you for your bad cousin from stealing my precious! Now go and have a happy birthday party!” Bonnie said before leaving in the shadows behind him. Olivia approached her brother, who woke up.
“Huh… W… What happened, sis?” Marty asked while waking up.
“You… eh, accidently tripped and fell down, so you got sleepy.” Olivia lied, not wanting to share the craziness of the situation. “So, wanna go back to your party? Mom and dad are still looking for you.”
“Yeah… Also, I think I saw Bonnie but I’m not sure.”
“Don’t worry, Bonnie’s fine.” Olivia said, feeling a bit more chill about the bunny animatronic. Even though all of this happened because of a misunderstanding, Olivia still managed to become less scared of it, by directly confronting him. It felt pretty nice. “Laura won’t be as much though, she messed up.”
“Doesn’t she all the time?” Her brother joked.
“Not as much as you, lil’ boy!”
