(Raine POV)
Why was ground level so taboo to us living in the sky kingdom?
What's there??
(Enters Raine’s sporadic stream of consciousness)
It could be good. (Based on the pictures I used to look at with Alto, it seems amazing.)
It could be bad…
It could be both!
Endless possibilities.
But why couldn't Alto return and tell his discoveries? Maybe then ground level wouldn't be seen as taboo.
My mind wandered even further.
Are there monsters?
Are there even more people?
Are there kingdoms there too?
Alto must be having the time of his life there and forgotten us…
Or he's dead. (how morbid -_-)
The only way to find out is having a sense of adventure!
(But what will happen when I leave? What about Cirrus?)
Thinking about it, I felt both great excitement but also great unease.
The beginnings of our agreements w/ Sky Atlia brought about change not only for the kingdoms but for myself and Cirrus as well.
This was the time where I moved into the Sky Atlian castle. Both the kings and queens from both of our kingdoms felt it was best that Cirrus and I were in close proximity in order to further get to know each other and build our relationship. We’d go to our weekly meetings, teachings and cotillion together. It was much more convenient than constantly traveling to and fro’ my kingdom. Plus, the villagers warmed up to me as well (even though my time with them was limited to an extent). I became a welcomed presence in the Sky Atlian castle/kingdom.
Day by day I was able to learn the ins and outs of the kingdom and build relations while at it. But, that nagging feeling would never leave and it wasn't long before my curiosity resurfaced. Of course after my daily schedule had been completed. a my father retired for the night. I scoured the library .
