Can you make a novel on a facebook post?
I mean is it possible or has it been already done by other people?
This question lingers on.
Chapter 0.1 - Characters
Did I mention that we'll start from one? Well we did have 1 as part of the title although it's just after 0 and a decimal point. We're still going to be on the 0th chapter. Reading from a normal Webnovel that starts from the 1st chapter after finishing the 0th chapter (0th chapters are known as promotional chapters or prologues) is the way this should flow but here we are, starting the creation of the story in the 0th chapter, I’m still preparing the realm for the chapter to come.
Is there a possibility of just staying on the 0th chapter after writing up a ton and preparing the stages? I wonder how it would turn out if I did that. Well, I'm doing it right now as we speak I just hope that I can get up to 3 chapters per day. Because I've just recently read on a Webnovel (that I was reading currently) that an author can write up to 3 chapters, not to mention the word count it takes per chapter.
I wonder if they have some sort of automatic machine on their brain that generates chapters like how does a person do all that. Is it due to an inspirational drive? Maybe so, we'll continue from last time. Because as we speak, the characters are waiting in line to get their abilities evaluated. Let’s begin the training.
Another day, after the initial startup of this realm, this would be it’s the second day. And since the imaginary field generator which is a single notebook can only be used three times. I need to cut some corners, I should enter them up as sparring partners on the training room.
I opened the notebook and lights started flashing initiating the activation of the imaginary space field generator creating a training room in front of me. I discussed to the characters that they'll enter as sparring partners. The one that wields a interchangeable sword asked if it is possible to train in threes to save the usage of the imaginary space field generator. I reasoned that the notebook would overload in calculating the results of the assessment for three individuals. Maybe in due time, the imaginary space field generator would get an upgrade. The one that casts shield (Kenji the Protector) and the one that wields an interchangeable sword (Resshin the Swordmaster) would be the first pair followed by the next two pair of characters.
Since one of them is a shield type. I should materialize some mini golems to act as opponents. Both of them entered the training room, earth golems of miniatures sizes appear before them. A golem started the battle with a punch aiming for the one that holds a shield. The one that casts shield raised his right arm glowing purple and activated a crystal shield. Its diamond-like structure deflected the golem's punch. For a few seconds after the initial block, other mini golems followed through and started the barrage of punches in an attempt to break the shield. The mini golems surrounded the shield where the two characters are in.
■
The crystal shield started to break little by little. It made the individual that wields an interchangeable sword to join the fight instead of staying inside the one that casts shield. He initiated the changing sequence of the interchangeable weapon to the configuration of a sword and a dagger. Jumping from the barrier and descending upon a golem. The slash from above halved the first golem followed by a stab at the core of the second golem and this continued until he spun around the crystal shield.
I wonder if the one who casts shield should use the gun-like item strapped on his belt. Although I feel like he should use it at a critical moment... or just make it into a normal weapon. Okay, I've decided that it'll be on hold until I come up with something to do with it (although i already have few vague ideas). He had an unruly hair at first and his hand similar to character in a hack and slash game. That character had scythe and a blue-black claws for a hand. Aside from that his boots were kind of inspired by real life boots and military attire (in manga/comic).
I was going for a soldier vibe for him. But I turned it into formal attire instead. He has an ability to read language or code, although i have no idea how he looks at things. I'm not him. My only job is to create and imagine. The other character takes the reference of three characters and putting it up on one entity. Although his weapon is half of a bigger weapon it is safe to say that he's not closer to an original OC as long as you take into account that certain character's hair.
My observation had passed the time and I didn’t notice that they have already dealt with the mini golems. The imaginary space field generator has been used once there is two more usage remaining.
Next pair would be the leader of the group (Lien the Blaster) and the one that can cast spells (Sherry the Magician). His weapon of choice does beg the question of why is a game's weapon on you. The weapon he wields is not a weapon in game just the 'type' of the weapon used is the same as that character. His old design looks amateurish, constant changes in weapon has been done and disposing of the armor sets that is embedded in the weapon because it will link to that game character.
While the other character used spells and chants, her magic are close to be on another world rather than the magic in fantasy. Her name is the same with another character in anime but different in personality. The sourced sherry is fierce in comparison.
They have been practicing their skills in the training room after the first pair left. The blast output of his weapon is closely similar to the gunner character before, a blast of energy output for the weapon but his weapon can also fire the blasts as a laser beam. It doesn't blast the enemy to smithereens like how a laser would but only push them to a great distance. The mini-golem had begun their assault earlier.
The character that can casts spells followed the attack by casting a pentagram in mid-air to cast multiple fireballs, the fireballs look alive as it came out of the pentagram. Her arm were both raised a while ago, she prepared it just as the leader continued pushing the mini-golems at a certain distance and blasting mini-golems that are near them. The fireball coming out of the pentagram burned the mini-golems to charcoal. Good, good, great even. Their abilities are alright. Now, moving on to the remaining single use of the generator.
The next pair involves martial arts (Enko) and double hammerin (Nory). The first’s glove and wristwatch are for different purposes. The glove possesses power or weight and exudes strength. Pants that are referenced from real clothing and shirt and hairstyle sourced from two Anime. Then the wristwatch releases gusts of wind, sometimes a small hurricane can be made. The other holds a long white hammer along with 4 shields floating around her. There are armors on her waist, chest and shoulder.
Their test run can only be called a mess due to the overpowering nature of their abilities. The hammer added with the shield can reduce the miniature golems into pieces of rubble while the other using his power glove to punch through the cores of the golems. I can only stare at the pile of ground particles left in their wake.
They are reminiscent of a pair in another series, both of them have different fighting style. The second character uses the shield as an offensive attack rather than defense. While the other uses wind pressure to hold the opponent in place before landing a punch in the core. A rather strange use of abilities but it's good.
They left the training room. And since the notebook has been used three times, the imaginary space field generator stopped and the training room and it's pile of ground particles dissipates to nothingness.
Now that the initial tests have been done, setting up a room for the characters is the next step. I have to create it with them. I put on a hard hat and began the construction of the house with everyone on the group. The characters utilized their abilities in creating cement, holding the wooden beams in place before hammering in the nails and cutting wood for the house’s skeleton. Hardening and drying the walls through otherworldly magic and making tables and chairs out of nothing. The house is constructed and I bid the first group of characters goodbye.
Now I did say that I'll write the next chapter after the 0th chapter but seeing it as the 3 chapters per day writing of a 'normal' author seem to be of overkill. Anyways on to the main room where it all started.
