There's a bit of torture at the end.
I was REALLY enjoying chasing my prey, or the humans. The first one I bothered to find had SUCH sweet blood. I had enjoyed the report Charlie gave me. Apparently they think they can overpower me! Naïve. But it made the hunt more fun so I wasn’t complaining. The human I had found earlier was enjoyable. Her blood was delicious and her name was fine. Sarah. But I'm calling her Fiona because I want to. A power ploy. The way she gets all scared is so entertaining. If all of her companions are like this then I don’t think I’ll kill any of them. I walked down toward my study. I needed to get some work done. Yes, the all-might, immortal vampire has to do paperwork. Granted it isn’t my favorite part of the day but it has to be done.
I sighed as I stepped into my study and closed my eyes for a moment. I stretched and yawned. Then I heard a gasp. My eyes snapped open. There was a person in my study. No one was allowed in my study without my permission. It was the boy that actually looked like he knew something about fashion. He was standing there with wide eyes and he wasn’t breathing. I stalked up to him. He dropped the papers he was holding. I scanned the pages and saw that it was the weapons inventory. That made me even angrier. I shoved him up against the wall. I thought about just killing him right then and there but as I looked into his eyes I saw the fear and decided against it. If he was afraid of me I could break him. He would just be another blood bag.
“I’ll only warn you once. No one enters my study without permission, understand?” I growled. My hand was around his neck. His body was up off the floor. There were tears brimming in his eyes. My black nails had turned to claws and there was no doubt in my mind that my eyes were red. He whimpered. I squeezed his neck harder. Weak. Fragile. Stupid. That is what all humans are. “Answer me.”
“Y-yes, I understand,” he managed to choke out. I let go of him. He slumped to the ground. There were cuts already on his neck. Blood was welling up and spilling out. I looked at my claws. Stained red. I smiled as I licked the blood from my nails. It got me hungry again. Logically I knew I wasn’t actually hungry again, I had just fed, instead, I wanted to punish him. This human had gone too far. Even if he didn’t know the rules. But that was no excuse. A broken rule means punishment.
I swooped down and sunk my fangs deep into his neck. I had gotten lucky. Another blood type O. O+ if I wasn’t mistaken. The flavor exploded in my mouth. Like cinnamon buns. And then a chocolate milkshake. Brownies. Oatmeal cookies. Lemon blueberry cake. Vanilla cupcakes. Scones. It was delicious. I let my fangs go even deeper. I released a poison into his veins. It wouldn’t kill him but it would cause him immense pain. He screamed. It was loud and annoying. I frowned as I took more blood. I bit down even harder and the screaming stopped. He went limp. I took my fangs out and smiled. If that didn’t teach him to behave I could always do something else, but for now i think it was enough.
Sitting up I saw his body shivering. Sweat broke out across his brow. I didn’t worry. It was just the poison. I had to get to work so I just took out some rope and tied him up. I’ll deal with housing arrangements later. I think keeping him chained up in my room would work. Or in the basement. I haven’t had a chance to use that in a while and I was itching to torture someone. Hand to elbow. Knot in the front. Repeat 3 times. Sack over head. Tie off with a slip knot. This way you can drag them around and they have to follow or they will die. A trick I learned a couple thousand years ago. This is how I tied him up.
After collecting all the fallen papers I had to reorganize everything. This made me growl. I was quite annoyed at him for messing everything up. I got to work. The paperwork was boring and the only thought on my mind was how to find the other humans, or if to find them at all. They’ll come to me once they run out of food. Humans need food to survive after all.

I stretched and got up. The boy was still unconscious, but he had stopped shivering and sweating. Probably a good sign. I took off the sack but kept the rope around his neck. I slapped his cheek until he woke up. And he did. With a jolt. He stared at me with wide eyes. A whimper escaped him. Good. To control someone you need to be feared.
“I’m in a good mood today,” I lied. “So I’ll give you one more chance, okay?” without waiting for him to answer I continued on. “I am going to have you follow me around. If you do what I tell you to do then I might untie you. If you don’t then I’ll send you to the basement. Understand?” He just nodded. “Rule number 1: Use your words.”
“I- y-yes. I understand,” he murmured. He wouldn't look into my eyes. Good. I stood and took the rope from around his neck. I tugged it slightly and walked to the door. He took a moment to stand up and I heard a gasp when he couldn’t keep up. My legs were longer than his AND he was tied up. He stumbled a few times, every time hissing as the rope got tighter around his neck. We stopped at the library. I wanted to read a little. It was calming and I needed all the patience I could get when it came to this boy.
I pushed the large, oak doors open to reveal thousands, maybe millions, of books. The boy gasped. I stepped inside and smiled. Sitting down in a chair I instructed the boy to sit next to me on the ground. Or he could sit in my lap if he wanted. He was a pet after all and I had never forbid my cats to sit on my lap. He decided to go with the floor.
I started to read. He was kneeling awkwardly next to me. As I read I fiddled with the end of the rope.
---
Halfway though the 3rd chapter of that day I wanted some grapes. Yes, vampires eat human food. Only for the taste of course. It does nothing to our hunger. An idea cam to mind. I smiled as I leaned over and started to untie the boy. His eyes went wide and he froze. Not even breathing. Once I was done I put the rope down and looked down at him.
“I want some grapes. Go get me some. They are in the kitchen. Down the hall. To the left. The second hallway to the right. 4th hallway to the left. 1rst door on the right. There will be someone there waiting for you with the grapes. Go.”
He didn’t say anything but he did get up and started to walk out of the room. I went back to reading.
15 minutes later he returned. When he was about 6 paces away from me I spoke, “Put them on the table next to me and feed them to me.” he didn’t even complain as he started to feed me. Once he was done feeding me and all the grapes where gone I sent him to get more. He feed me those as well. I smiled at his obedience. I paused reading to look over at him kneeling next to me again. He was fidgeting with the hem of his shirt and looked like he wanted to say something.
“Spit it out,” I told him. I didn’t mean to sound mean but I must have because he looked scared again.
“Wh-what?” he stuttered out. I loved the affect I had on humans. Always made them uncharacteristically nervous and scared. It made them stutter. It made me feel powerful.
“It looked like you wanted to say something,” I drawled.
“I- well… um… I-I was w-wodering what I sh-should call y-you,” he murmured. I heard it perfectly fine but a normal person would have had trouble hearing it. I hummed.
“You can call me Master,” I answered.
“M-master?” he seemed scared. Well, nothing changed then.
“Yes, Master. Now if you’ll excuse me I’d like to get back to reading,” I drawled. Again. It was fun talking to him, seeing his fear and anxiety written on clearly on his face. None of us spoke for the next 3 hours.

I was distracted by soft snoring. I looked over to see him asleep. His neck was at an awkward angle and he would definitely have cramps when he awoke. I huffed. Then I lifted him up and set him on me lap. I suppose he needed sleep. His body was still recovering from the poison. I wrapped him in a blanket and started to play with his hair. It was quite soft. See. I’m not evil. Not nice either, but I do care about my pets. They were just humans. Weak. They needed protection and care. It could get annoying eventually but the blood made it worth it. I wouldn’t need to go out hunting and wouldn’t need to drink the old blood they have here. I went back to reading.

The next morning one of my servants came to find me. I was still reading. The boy was softly sleeping. The servant had a letter. It was from my mother. I groaned. No doubt she heard about me playing with my food. I already could hear the lecture she would give me:
“I told you that playing with your food makes you too soft! You need to lock them up in the basement as soon as you see then! Torture them! That is what I taught you is it not? And let me guess, you won’t sleep with them unless they give their consent! What is wrong with you? They are meant to be toys! Only there until you get bored! Why do you care about them! You need to…”
I pushed the thought out of my head and opened the letter. Inside was only a few sentences.
Dear son,
I will be coming to visit you in 3 days time. Be ready.
Love,
Mother.
I groaned. She heard about me playing with my food. I needed to mentally prepare for a lecture. 3 days. I had the days to find all the humans and tame them. Then I had to torture them every once in a while. Hearing screaming was as relaxing, if not more than, reading. Except when they’re right next to my ear. My hearing is way too good for that. I was so preoccupied in my thoughts that I didn’t even notice as the boy started to stir. I was relaxed. Too relaxed. That’s what feeding did to me. Made me kinder, and more relaxed. Mother would hate to see me like this.
“Master?” the boy whispered.
“Yes?” I shook my head, clearing my thoughts. Even if I was now satisfied and full I couldn’t show the human how I felt.
“I-um… I was w-wondering… if um… I-I c-could h-have um… b-break-f-fast,” he seemed really nervous. I smiled. I had forgotten to feed him. Oh, well. He’ll live.
“I’ll find something for you. For now, just follow me,” I told him. He seemed so much more relaxed now that I hadn’t punished him for asking for food. I put the book down, set him down, and got up. I stretched and strode out of the library. Just being in control of something made me feel better. I had almost forgotten about Mother’s visit. Almost.

I had found some food for the humans. A bowl of fruit with yogurt and tea. He seemed content and thanked me. Now that he was fed he seemed a little more relaxed. I left him in my room and decided to hunt down the other humans. After all, I only had 3 days. My fangs slipped out and I smiled. Sniffing the air I followed the scent to the other humans. Oh, this would be fun. The hunt always is.
---
I was running, chasing a girl. She was the last of the humans. The others were already locked away in their respective rooms. Not tamed, but caught. It was a fun chase, no one had really fought back but I didn’t mind. Just the hunting was enough. But this one girl. She had a knife. She had already cut me once. I would have to kill her. No one gets away with attacking me, even if it heals in seconds.
I was right behind her. I lunged. A growl sprang from my mouth. It was the girl with the pink haired one. I smiled as I bit into her arm. She shrieked as I injected poison into her blood stream. I bit her a couple more times until she passed out. The blood welled up in the cuts. I smelled the metallic sent. It made me go crazy. I hefted her onto my shoulder and took her somewhere special. My basement. I chained her to the wall and started a fire. I placed chains in the fire. Once I deemed them hot enough I replaced the chains connecting her to the wall with the hot ones from the fire. I wasn’t going to make her death quick or painless. The smell of burnt flesh filled the room and her skin turned an ugly black. Good. She woke up screaming. The pain had done it’s job. I took out one of my favorite whips. It has spikes and was coated in nutmeg. It would make her get high on the drug and still let her feel the pain.
I started to hit her. Her sweet screams filled the room. The blood was insanely strong. The smell hit me making me smile like a psychopath. Her shirt was ripped, blood spilling out of various cuts and gashes. She was sobbing. The stone floor was slick with blood. The dark red gleamed in the torch light. I heard the snap of bones and smiled. It was one of her ribs. The bone was sticking out at a weird angle, I could see it. The skin around it was torn and soaked with blood. She wasn’t going to live much longer, the rib had punctured a lung. Only a few more hours. So I put down the whip and started to burn off her hair, once it caught fire I set her whole body in the fire. She was shaking, tears stained her cheeks, screams left her mouth. Blood sizzled from the heat of the fire. The dark red was tempting. Before she died I injected her with a syringe. It would make her stay awake during the whole thing. I put more wood on the fire and licked some blood from my fingers. This was fun. I hadn’t felt so free in a long time.
I walked out of the room. My shoes were ruined, so were my clothes. There was blood everywhere. So I headed to my room. Wonder how the boy will react to all this blood.
