Walking over to the bench I removed the extra clothing that I put on top and placed them on the bench. I looked back over to Mike who is reading about the fight I’m in, he flipped over pieces of paper and took in the information he placed the clipboard down and stood next to me.
“It looks like you’re going to have a rencounter of an old foe” He smirked knowing that I knew who he is talking about.
“You’re not talking about her are you” I let out a small growl from frustration, instantly Mikes hand shut my mouth. I glared at him and shoved his hand out of the way.
“Shh, you can’t let a growl slip around here, not everyone is a werewolf and they can’t find out what you are,” He let out a sigh and continued “and yes I was talking about having to fight Kaley,” His hand reached up to his earpiece to listen to whatever to commentators needed to say. The outside gate that leads to a small room to wait in opened for me and I started to walk in when Mike stopped me.
“No weapons for this fight, hand them over” He said in a stern voice knowing that I probably sneak one in.
“Of course, she picked a fist fight, fine here” I pulled out the two small knifes handing them over to him then walking into the small room waiting for the gate to open once the commentators to finish their small speech. A soft breeze wafted into the room it smelt like pine trees and coconuts. I quickly realised that it was my mates sent as it quickly faded away. I let out a little growl making sure no one could have herd it focused my anger on the fight that was about to happen, because the gates lifted, and I walked out with anger for Kaley and my mate being here.
“Fancy seeing you here, the only place where you’ll try and fight me,” I let out a small dark chuckle “It brings me joy to kick your sorry ass into the ground again” I held a smirk on my face while my eyes held anger.
“Well, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed, you will probably fall over making me beat you that much easier” she snickered making me more annoyed at her than I already was.
“Let’s fight then, maybe youll actually win this time, it will be fun seeing you struggle.” Standing in a fighting position I was ready for whatever she threw at me.
“Let’s” She sprinted at me trying to knock me over with force but failing as I quickly sidestep in time to put my foot out and trip her. She falls face first into the metal bars, turning around to look at me she didn’t have enough time to dodge the punch I threw at her face. As I was about to punch her again, she lifted herself up by using the bars and kicked me in the stomach making me take a step back, she tried swinging a punch at me, but I dodge it by flipping onto my hands and back onto my feet.
We began to move in a circle like vultures circling their prey, we were testing each other seeing who would make the next move and how we would do it. I quickly decided it was my tern to play cat and her mouse, I ran at her making sure she thought I would charge into her but instead I flipped over her and once I landed, I kicked her in the side, and she fell down onto her knees clutching her side.
Instantly I push her to the ground to pin her underneath me, I used one hand to keep her hands above her head and use my other hand to punch her in the face and one blow landed on her nose. A loud crack can be herd as her nose is broken and is now crooked, thin red blood slides out of her nose as her face starts to bruise and other small cuts from my punches starts bleeding. Deciding that was not enough to keep her down I jabbed her throat but not the hardest I could have done it because if I did, she wouldn’t be breathing after. She started gasping for air like a goldfish out of water. I let her hands go and they rushed to her nose to try and fix it as well as stop the bleeding, I took a few steps away from her but then quickly kicked her in the side near her kidneys.
“Try picking a fight you can actually win” I said to her before the commentators started talking about the next opponent and what will happen if I win this fight.
The gates opened back up to go into the little room where Mike was waiting with another clipboard and a small bag with some of my weapons inside. I smiled happily at the bag and greedily snatched it out of his hands, sorting through what weapons I would want to use.
“This time you’re fighting against someone you have never met before, so it’ll be a new experience for you, which should be fun,” He was looking at me with a slight smile as I dug through the bag and nodded at what he was saying.
“So, what’s this someone’s name, what does he use as a weapon,” I quickly ask wanting to see what the persons fighting style is and to see how easy it is to take them down in the fight.
“His name is Griffen and he always chooses to injure and on one instance killed his opponents with a wide arrange of guns,” He stated while checking something off on the papers.
“When you say wide arrange of guns what kind of range are, we are talking about.”
“The kind that goes from simple handguns to military grade handguns and some others, but the other thing you need to remember is that, not only the gun is a weapon with its bullets the guns he uses have weapons imbedded on it making the gun itself a weapon.” He looked up at me with a serious expression that said don’t do anything stupid and be careful.
I nodded my head to show that I was listening. Looking up on the wall where a clock is, I noticed that our time to finish discussing and to do whatever else was almost up. I finished attaching all the weapons that I could use onto various belts that I had and walked closer to the meatal bars. Mike let out a sigh before walking out the door to go to the screen that’s on the outside for him.
Taking a breath in I could smell all of the different scents from the people here, but one smelt familiar, but it isn’t from mike. My wolf growled and I knew I was right, he was here. How I didn’t leave any clues to where I would be and why the hell is, he here. Anger started to boil up inside of me and I knew that from this anger that this match would go quicker and the crowed wouldn’t really like that, but I don’t care they can do whatever they want with their money, it goes into my pockets and the governments.
Clenching my fists, I moved away from the bars and into the cover of the shadows in the room, making sure no one could see me I let my fist collide with the wall. My fist was bleeding from the knuckles, but I didn’t feel any sting I felt nothing but numbness. Letting the rage fuel my body to win this fight faster so I can get away from him.
The metal bars lifted, and I walked out and looked straight forward at the guy Infront of me he was muscular and pretty tall but that didn’t matter because I was still going to win even if he has guns and his acracy is great. Griffen looked at me and smirked probably thinking it was going to be an easy win but I’m going to give him a hell of a time.
Griffen started this small war by running at me and it didn’t take long which helped with my plan, sliding underneath him I quickly swirled around rushed back at him while his back was to me and jumped into the air above him. Flicking my wrists outwards my daggers slid out and I aimed the at him in the shoulder. I didn’t expect him to turn around and shoot me in the stomach, I felt the bullet lodge itself inside of me. Instantly gravity kicks in and I plummet to the ground but before I hit the ground, I throw my daggers and they slide into his skin where I wanted then to go.
He grunted in pain while they were there it would hurt him to move his arms a lot because the daggers would be in the muscle. Landing on the ground on my feet as easy. Making sure I didn’t get shot again not as much. Bearable and easy to get attacks on him when he needs to aim before shooting.
I ran at him while he needed to reload his gun and hoped I had enough time. Luckily, I did, and he didn’t know I was running behind him until I chucked my knifes in his back and dragged them down, he fell to the ground yelling out curses in pain. Kicking him onto his back I put a knife in his stomach. I had a grin on my face forgetting most of my problems in the fight as I loomed over him and can see the fear in his eyes.
Before I could do anymore damage a small team of medics came rushing in with a stretcher and quickly rushing out with Griffen. Looking at him I saw him trying to get back up but his back not wanting him to move. As he left through the door he yelled out.
“You will pay for this; I will have my revenge.” I rolled my eyes and left through the same door I came in through.
When I walked out mike was looking more anxious than before and a strange sent was wafting around the place. I questioned Mike but he said not to worry about it and head back home. So, I changed back into my other clothes and walked away, stopping at a small café to get something to eat. I decided to get a mochaccino and a small slice of strawberry cheesecake and headed back to the hotel. Once there I had to stop outside of my room and listened because it sounded like there was someone in there.
“Did you here that.” My wolf asked me as a small thump sounded in the room.
“Yeah, I did sounds like someone’s walking around”.
Quietly I open the door and see someone busy cleaning the bathroom, I tap on the persons shoulder and they jump while turning around with slightly wide eyes as I scared them. It was a young woman possibly in her yearly 30s.
“Oh, hello I didn’t hear you come in and you gave me a slight scare, I was told this room was vacant, so I came to make sure it was clean that’s what I was told at least,” her eyebrows furrow together as she thinks about what she was told.
“Why would they tell you that when I booked this room” Who would’ve told a cleaner that this room was vacant and to clean it doesn’t make sense, maybe it was an accident and they got it wrong.
“I’ll be going now, have a good day.” She walked out of the room and went down the hall going somewhere out of sight.
Flopping down onto the couch and decided to take the peaceful moment too stuff my face of the cheesecake I got. Relishing in the sweet taste that I somehow have missed out on for years, I don’t know how I stopped having the creamy deliciousness. After devouring the dessert, I took notice how I smelt of dust and iron, defiantly need a shower to get the stench of the arena of off my body. Quickly grapping another pair of clothes, I happily slump into the water when the bath is full and feel the warmth of the water and the small foam bubbles help relax my body.
I raise my knees just above the water and sit there making sure I don’t slip under as my eyelids droop down and my mind calms down washing away all the stress the day has brought me. Letting out a small sigh I feel as though I could spend hours doing nothing, but that peace gets rudely interrupted as a noise came from the other room. My eyes lids snap open and all relaxation is gone and replaced with tensed muscles as I growl a warning to the intruder.
