It had been a few months since Wesley Pendragon had been crowned. And since then, the beautiful snow and white sky had turned into pouring rain and grey ambient.
A wooden carriage was riding along the wet cobblestone roads that lead up into the Kingdom of Liones. Wesley sat in the back seat of the carriage looking out his window. His head was resting on his hand and he was wearing a black cloak. The hood was drawn over his head. No one would have been able to guess that he was a king at first glance, and no one would have believed him. Wesley's husband, Arthur Pendragon, was still at Camelot castle since someone had to watch over the kingdom. Usually, Sir Nanashi or Lady Merlin would have taken over for Arthur during his absence, but both of them were dead. Wesley and Arthur had never been this far apart since they met, and it was killing the two kings. Despite being crowned, Wesley had insisted on retaining his position as the Court-Mage of Camelot. And since no Grandmaster had been chosen to replace Nanashi, the royal Court was short-staffed. Meaning one of the two kings would always have to stay behind until a new member was chosen and was responsible enough to take over.
The carriage stopped when it arrived at the gates of Liones. The foggy ambient made the mighty Kingdom look drab and underwhelming. Wesley stepped out of the carriage and approached the gates.
"HALT!" Ordered a guard. "Who goes there?"
Wesley rolled his eyes, but the guard didn't see since Wesley's face was shrouded by his hood. He took in a deep breath.
"I am King Wesley Pendragon of Camelot." He yawned. His voice was tired and bored.
The guard laughed.
"A man dressed in such peasant rags could never be a king." He teased.
"Oh god," Muttered Wesley as he buried his face in his palms. "I don't have time for this." The mage approached the guard.
"Hey, get back!" Demanded the guard as he grasped his spear with both hands. "I'm an apprentice Holy Knight."
"Fascinating..." Groaned Wesley sarcastically. He placed his right hand on the guard's face, grabbing it gently. "Sacred Treasure: Release."
"Wha- a sacred treasure!?"
Wesley tightened his grip and the guard's face blew up. Blood splattered on the gates and mixed in with the water that had accumulated in between the cracks in the cobblestone. Wesley snapped his fingers, and the mess was cleaned up. Then he entered Liones.
"Can't wait to see Sir Meliodas and Lady Elizabeth again." Wesley said to himself, still tired and monotone. "Haven't seen them since my coronation."

Meanwhile in Camelot....
"Wow!" Exclaimed Arthur Pendragon. "This is incredible! Such fine craftsmanship." The king was leaning over a round, wooden table that had just been delivered to Camelot Castle.
"I wonder..." Arthur said to himself. "Maybe instead of a Grandmaster, our armies can be ruled by a group of knights." He looked at the table once again. "They could be called....The Knights of the Round Table! The table has no head, so everyone will be at an equal seat!"
