Thanks to everyone who followed this little project.
As this is the last episode I would like to hear your interpretations of the story and your overall experience.
Unfourtanly I feel like if this wasn't so rushed, it would have been a better comic.
If you wanna read the original story I wrote you can read it here: https://chiconzin.tumblr.com/post/642130270165843968/the-unbearable-smell-of-oranges
okay- alright- now, understanding all that I’ve read, I’m certain that Eurydice had to exist at least at one time in order to teach the MC how to read and also people seemed to know she existed although we see everything only from the MC who could be an unreliable narrator especially combined with the fact she was lonely and ostracizing someone can to do a heck on their mental stability. ANYWAY I personally feel she existed in the beginning and was an actual person, but who could subsist on oranges all that time alone and be alright?? I think there’s a hint there maybe at the end with ‘already gone’ since that would mean that she had been there at one time, however, while the MC is much older, it seems to be a little girl, the same little girl she had left after she kissed her the first time. I think that first time when the MC did not come back was when Eurydice left permanently, since everything seemed to spiral from there and if you notice in the last chapter the MC goes through the same motions she did after not going to Eurydice for that long first time. They read the same book, and the girl is there, just as she left her that first time. There’s plenty of allusions that could be made about the nature of isolation or even codependence, but really I think Eurydice was long gone before she ever actually faded away, whether it was by death or departure, I seriously have no idea, though I would suspect the former since it’s ‘Eurydice’.
