Angela wore a mask before it was cool...
SARS was like a mini covid-19 in the making in the early 2000s that particularly effected Toronto where this comic takes place. It shut down the hospital where I volunteered at for 2 weeks. It was nothing like covid-19 and it won't be addressed in this comic as it would ruin the whole story with the whole no visiting in hospitals thing...

this already feels like you've put a lot of thought and care into it. Even if the mc's passiveness isn't charming, I think this is a really good decision. esp with her internal monologue, you can toally get where she's coming from
