When I was living in Florida studying at Eckerd College, I was a really weird Creative Writing Major. While my major was Creative Writing, I would frequently aid and do internships with the Marine Biology and life science departments. Mostly through friends who were in the major who needed my help with research.
Anyways, one day my friend told me that there was a shark stuck in a shallow tide by a little shipyard and they asked the college to send marine students to help the situation.
So while I tagged along to be an extra hand, I started joking with the other students about what if Manatees ate sharks? One friend said, "Well, dude. They eat vegetables."
I smiled, "Okay..they don't eat sharks. But what if they bullied sharks and beat them up for the giggles."
And thus the Apex Manatee was born!
((Two pages submitted today because I'm behind!!))
Hey, those are really nice ideas! The manatee is cute despite being badass :)
I think it would be worth it to polish the pages digitally. The text gets illegible sometimes and the structure of the page is too chaotic, even if it's meant to be... I recommend you scan the drawings on a good scanner, cut them out and put them into a new file (it can be more vertical so there is enough space) and add the text digitally while trying to keep some kind of structure. You can always add some effects and textures to make it look like a worn out paper. I think it's a waste not to give it a neat look as the uncared looks probably deters readers.
I don't know what level you are at with using photo editing/drawing software, want some help with it?
Oh and don't upload more than one page at once, that way you get more exposure in the New comics :)
A hand drawn and hand written guide to the weird and wonderful creatures that totally exist and I totally for certain didn't make any of them up.
Well maybe some of them.
((maybe all of them....))
BUT....two dudes named Dink and Rex (A human with goggles and a T-rex) help you the reader learn about the creatures that totally could be in your backyard.
