Gert leads the big weird wolf beast through the rest of the medowie forest. My heart flutters at the sight of any life I am able to see move in the forest.
All the other girls seem to be scared or not wanting to bother to look around. Though my curiosity gets the best of me, of course.
A part of me just wants to forget all the stuff that happened only hours ago. I refuse to let myself break down, I have to keep everything together.
I still don't know how these creatures act, I don't completely trust them just yet. Even if Gert said he didn't want to hurt us, I would be stupid to let my guard down.
So for the moment I'll take peace from this forest of unusual things and creatures I've never seen.
I don't bother to try and talk to any of the girls. They all seem to be thinking hard about what's happening to us at the moment. In which I don't blame them, all of this is a lot, I'm proud of myself for keeping an open mind.
"Do you think we can really trust his word?" Willow asks the caramel haired girl I still don't know the name of.
I should really ask her sometime, but no time seems like the right time too.
"Right now we can't trust anything. From what I've seen so far and if what he said was true. This goat is just a messenger boy." My eyes widen at her words, this girl really has some guts.
I look over to see if Gert heard her words, and to my surprise he was smiling like a little boy given a sweet treat. I'm so baffled by the whole thing I have no words to say. Though thankfully he's smile didn't seem like one filled with evil intent.
Caramel girl really needs to watch herself, yeah Gert seems nice enough, but I doubt the beast we see from now on will be.
"So your point is?" Lucy questions looking at caramel girl, trying to grasp the situation. "He's here to purposely make us feel comfortable." Caramel girl states, looking at all the girls that have leaned in to listen.
"That can mean many things, so trusting him is not a good idea just yet." She leans back and looks at Willow, who appears to have lost all color in her face.
No one said anything after and we all silently agreed to give each other some space to think.
Before long, we leave the forest behind and a huge kingdom is in the distance. The structure was magical, things I've only read to be described in story books.
I will get to go to a kingdom, a kingdom of monsters, but still a kingdom! From this far everything looks so magical and neat, which is kind of surprising for savage beast.
Everyone looks to be in awe at the kingdom before us. The sun is at its highest peak in the sky, giving the kingdom a radiant shiny glow! I can't take my eyes off it, surprisingly it makes me feel excited!
Yes, I've been taken away from my home, most likely to never see my family again. But! I've always been the type of person to look on the bright side, kind of had to be with how I grew up.
"Welcome to the kingdom of Kroba! This will be your home for a few months, if you choose to leave that is." Gert says cheerfully, the wolf beast looking excited to see their home as well. "If we choose to leave?" Lucy questions, looking toward Gert for an answer.
"Yes, not back to your village of course, but to other places in the kingdom!" You can tell he would rather not dawn on the fact that all of us won't ever be going home again.
Lucy doesn't say anything after that, I think she had a little hope that we could go back. With how the towns people treated us I doubt they'd let us come back.
The carriage goes under this huge gate guarded by these big looking cats, well what I think are cats...They have four eyes, pointy pushed back ears that twitch from time to time, thick bodies and paws that could cut me in two, their tail looks like it could be made out of a weapon itself.
The big cats get up from their spots, circling the carriage, seeming to look for anything out of place or odd. The girls go stiff with fear, though I'm all but curious about these big cats. They seem highly intelligent!
"Are we good?" Gert asks the big cats, the one on the left huffing in response. I guess that means yes because we start moving underneath the huge gate. I watch the cat on the left, and it watches me back, I don't sense any evil with it either. It really just looks more curious than anything.
I don't have enough time to think too much on it before we enter what looks like a town market district. Out of nowhere loud sparks go off once the carriage is all the way in, strips of colorful paper fall from the sky, many of the beasts and residents coming out joyfully from their hiding places.
They all seem to be cheering and chanting at us. My eyes go wide with all the bright smiling faces I'm seeing in the crowd. What in the world is happening?!
All the other girls are looking around confused or scared. "Gert, what is happening?" I ask still looking around at all the excitement the crowd presents us with. "I told you that you'll be cherished! You are important to our kingdom! You will help us in many ways! Our people look forward to seeing you all." He says cheerfully with a big smile on his face.
For some reason I blush to he's words. Are we really that important to these people?
Looking behind us I could see the other carriages of girls coming through, their faces much like our own. Can this really be happening?
The carriage heads through town, all the people cheering and celebrating our arrival. Up ahead the castle doors open magically to reveal a palace courtyard, filled with flower bushes and trees.
Our carriage stops in the middle of the courtyard.
Gert gets down, moving to the back of the carriage to help the girls step out. Everyone moves out until I'm the last one to take his hand. I didn't expect his hand to be so soft, I look up at him, thanking him for the help. He gives me a charming smile before leading our group of girls into the castle.
Right before we enter I try to get a look at the flowers in the courtyard. I know Liv would have loved them.
Distracted by the flowers and the thought of my little sister, I didn't realize that we walked into a throne room. I look up to find a woman with little clothing on a throne made out of a black tree. The branches fanning with small flowers scattered all over the bark.
The woman has two pairs of majestic horns atop her head. Her eyes the color of bright violet, magic seeming to swarm in them. Her hair is an even darker violet, almost black, shining in the light of the sun that flows through the big glass windows on either side of the castle walls. Her body curvy in all the right places, any man would be brought to their knees by her magical beauty...She radiates sensual energy, her lips tilt up in a charming smirk.
"Welcome, my lovely ladies." She gracefully gets up from her throne, her arms open wide, like she's waiting for an embrace. Her hips sway side to side sensually, the two slits up her dress showing off her bare thighs and long legs.
Some of the girls quietly gasp, the others looking on with either terror or shock. But I can only see a woman of power and grace, and she knows it too. Wearing so little clothing is considered sinful in our village unless you were a whore....We didn't have many of those though.
So I'm guessing the Queen exposing so much, makes some of the girls uncomfortable.
"Hello your majesty, I have brought the girls home safely." Gert says bowing slightly, oh gooses! We should be bowing to her! She's our new queen after all, well I think. Standing next to Gert I also bow in greeting and respect.
The queen looks at me and smiles, I'm able to see two sharp canines before she looks at me with warm eyes. My breath is taken away by her beauty and kindness. "Well done Gert! I trust you all had an alright ride to the castle?" She turns to my group of girls, is she really asking if we're doing alright?
I decide to be completely honest "We're a little shaking up from everything, but we're all physically fine, your majesty." Her eyes instantly turn sad, her lush lips turning down slightly in a frown. "I know this is a lot for you girls, but I promise to try my best to make living here comfortable." She walks off in front of the three groups of girls.
"There is a lot we need to discuss..." Her thin brows scrunch up in a worried filled gesture.
"It may be a lot at first but I ask that you please just hear us out. We know we are a totally new species to you, and we may seem like scary beasts. But I assure you we're not!" She puts her hands up in defense "All we want to do is show you a new world." She smiles at us warmly, her elbow length hair swaying with the tilt of her head.
"You all will be treated like royalty here, but your main focus will be on suitors!" The queen says excitedly, like she herself is marrying off her daughter.
"Suitors?" Lucy speaks up for the first time, looking at the queen questioningly.
"Yes suitors! For the time being, so to get you settled in. You'll be given your first servant! They'll take you to your room and help fill you in on everything that will be going on." The Queen looks like she's about to explode with happiness.
All at once, different varieties of maids start filling into the room from doors to the left and right of the throne. The queen and Gert step away and let the maids through to grab the girl they're assigned to.
Some of the girls seem nervous to follow their maid. I have noticed that each maid looks of a different species, and others that look like their from the same.
