translation:
When was the last time I was happy?
Was it eighteen years ago on a summer's day?
No, my heart was already elsewhere
As I jumped over the bonfire on the day of Ivan Kupala.

Maybe it was eighteen years ago ,
When the earth was freezing hard on the day of Kolyada
and I was vainly trying to see the blurred face of my beloved in the mirror?

No, my heart was already elsewhere.
Maybe it was on the secret evening
Than I nearly spent in the hay with my beloved?
But it was followed by the most gruesome night of my life.

When was the last time I was happy?

It's a beautifully sad poem and the artwork pulls at ones heartstrings, lovely piece as always.

Arthur and Benjamin are old friends who live in a cottage in a small village. The human makes a living off of books, while Benjamin wеаves baskets and sells those on the market.
Of course life can`t be that simple, so their past starts to come up to the surface, disturbing the present peace.
