"ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND!"
A tall well built man shouted from the other side of a mahogany desk, cluttered with papers and empty cigarette boxes.
"Elias… Why on this God given earth would you think I would let you go through with this?
A mellow and confident voice answered him. "I don't want to live like this anymore father. I'm 24 now, don't I have the right to live a normal life?"
The anger inside his gut started to rise. He quietly placed the glass of Whiskey he was drinking earlier onto the glass table in front of him.
He never asked his father for anything, all the while his siblings would constantly beg for gifts and other things from their father, he sat quietly still contemplating on what to say next.
"Can't I?" He pressed again as he stared at the crystal cut name plate perched on top of his fathers large desk.
"Mari Thorne, Ceo/Founder" He read to himself. Glancing at his father, he could tell that he was highly agitated by the way he had his head down as he methodically massaged his temples.
"Why should I let you leave Elias? This company and the group need you." The man pulled on the collar of his all black turtle neck and sighed heavily, finally looking up at Elias.
"Father...what is there for me here." Picking up his glass from his table and taking a long swig, finishing the glass he then looked up at his father. "Will I get any money?" He started to feel the anger from earlier in his throat.
With a smirk and a sarcastic tone he continued his statement.
"Will I get the company? Ooooooh I know, I'll get the good for nothing gang right? Ah, now it all makes sense." He clapped his hands together as though he had just realized something amazing, "I'm not your real son anyways so why should I get anything that is worth anything, right?!"
He brushed himself off, straightening the sleeves on his tailored suit and standing up from the seat he was in. He looked at his fathers flabbergasted face and gave him a very hostile look.
"I won't be coming to work starting tomorrow, don't come looking for me, don't call my phone and don't send your goons to my house. I will call the police and have them locked up."
He started for the door and tried his best to not turn back. His father shouted some words that were now inaudible to his ears. He felt a fast wind pass ever so close to his ear and looked back to find his father heavy breathing over his desk, in a throwing form.
"Is this man actually insane?!" He thought as he looked down to see the glass name plate he was staring at earlier shattered on the floor just inches away from him. He shot a look back at Mari. "Are YOU out of your goddamn mind?" He slammed the door shut and walked to the elevator, very much ready to drink his life away when he got home.
