I thought that my parents were joking and still didn't believe it when we arrived at the shelter! We were initially going to get a cute 2 y/o female Shih Tzu but she was on hold by another family. Turned out that she's really bad with other dogs! (Dodged a bullet there because my family takes their dogs everywhere.)
Anyhow, we were ready to leave when my mom spotted this cutie patootie 4 year old miniature poodle. We (I did really) fell in love with him the second we laid eyes on him and no one had chosen him yet so we put him on reserve.
He turned out to be the absolute best little pooch ever! He's potty trained, he doesn't bark, he's not mean to other dogs (he is afraid of the tiny ones, mostly because the dogs at my complex are pretty mean from far away but when you get close to them they run the opposite direction. Small dog logic) and just so much more. I'm so glad that we decided to take him home at the end of the day.
