5. Now in the morning, Prince Reyn happily wakes up Dae-Mi to help her with her practicing, a traditional martial art, the practice called, Shing, which is an instrument used to kill, one that is formed out of sharp weapons, preferably knives.

"Prince Reyn, are we going to have breakfast?" His mother, the queen calls to him. Prince Reyn brushes it off saying, "no thank you mother, I am going to just eat some fruit and train today." After some time, his mother finally answers back saying, "oh, go ahead then." As if she just wants him to eat with them. 

"I'm also training Dae-Mi, the maid."

His mother drops her teacup saying angrily to him, "what? She is their maid? No need to train such a child of the Northern country on the art of our fighting, let her be!" 

"No mother, I'm training her whether you like it or not!" 

She turns around, facing him, saying softly but with a strict tone, "dear, what has gotten into you?" 

His father comes downstairs with the King and Queen of the Northern country, along with princess Fi-Mei and Prince Yunie, them all together as the servants stop what they are doing and all bow perfectly to the royals in front of them. 

Prince Reyn then says again, "she is strong, physically and mentally, she is chosen to be a warrior." 

"What is going on?" The King Mi-Wong says. 

Princess Fi-Mei walks over to her father saying while holding her fan, "he is teaching Dae-Mi how to fight." She looks smugly towards Prince Reyn, "how pathetic of you to think that she is going to be something." 

"Sorry...?" He lets on, speaking with sarcasm.

Then Dae-Mi comes downstairs wearing her uniform which is a layered clothed dress with long pants underneath used in bulk to help make the users lighter off of practice, and to make them stronger when they fight with lesser clothes. 

This causes his father to say, "so you know what you are doing my son of the Southern country?" 

"Yes, I do father." He says back. 

Then he and Dae-Mi leave to the backyard to train, shocking everyone as they act as if they are forced to let them go. And as they are outside, Prince Reyn stands with her saying, "I'm sorry about that earlier, here, I got some fruit for you to eat." She takes it saying to him, "thank you Reyn, and no worries, it's kind of expected."

As they get up and start walking around the garden, ahead of him, Dae-Mi casually eats the fruit, then suddenly... "Hm..." Prince Reyn grabs his wooden stick, and hits her with it. 

"Ouch!" Dae-Mi says, hurt by the hit. 

Then she turns around saying to him, "why did you...?" "Because it's time to train again, get started." "You want me to hit you with the stick?" "Pretend I'm Fi-Mei and do your best."

Dae-mi focuses on him and hits him with the stick, hurting him. "Wow, that was harsh, not too hard okay?" "You told me to hit you." She says back strongly. "I know, but I mean't it in a...Fake way." Dae-Mi laughs at him saying, "you should see how hard I hit with my violin and flute."  

"Try again." He says. 

"Like this?" Dae-Mi swings beautifully, almost hitting him. 

"Is that good?" She questions. "Yeah like that." They keep training and training, and eventually enjoying themselves, becoming best friends with Dae-Mi becoming great with using her violin and flute instrument as her weapon. 

Until one day, Prince Yunie saw them training, he watches their every move, but they didn't notice. 

...

"So rating on how I did," Prince Reyn says to her, "I give you a nine out of ten." 

"Why nine?" 

"Because you said you hated my favorite fruit." 

"We still need to talk about that." Dae-mi says jokingly. 

They walk inside and see the king and queen arguing with each other about their lands and about themselves, eventually hearing them say, "by tonight you will leave this place!" King Mi-Wong says to Reyn's parents. 

"We sure will!" The Southern King says back angrily. Prince Reyn runs over to Prince Yunie saying, "Yunie? What's happening?" 

"Well..." He goes on. 

He starts off carelessly, "ever since you said that Dae-Mi is the warrior, it strived many argumens with our family, calling you disobedient and oblivious for thinking that a girl is the warrior, so...Now we are being kicked out thanks to your stupidity."

"No, it is not me, the Creator chose a woman because He can!" 

"Brother, it isn't me, that's the problem!" 

Princess Fi-Mei walks up to Yunie saying, "It's going to be okay my darling." 

"Not now it isn't." He rudely answers her. Stopping the movement of her fan, Prince Yunie walks away from her. 

Anger and sadness in her bitterweet eyes, Fi-Mei takes it out on Dae-Mi saying, "this is your fault too! You are an idiot for believing such a thing." She says this then cries while walking away. 

Prince Reyn turns to Dae-Mi saying, "Im sorry about all this." She touches his shoulder saying, "It is fine, but...I want to give you something before you go, here, follow me." 

She holds out her hand and he grabs her hand and walks away with her. 

Dae-Mi starts giving Prince Reyn fruit to take back with him from the garden. "Here, the red fruit are your favorite." He grabs it saying, "but...What about your royal family?" 

"I don't care about them, especially Fi-Mei, it's surely strange because whenever we are fighting, you mention her."

"Because I can tell you don't like her." 

"I would like to destroy her and remake her into something new and better." 

"See what I mean...?" He playfully adds in. She turns around, "yeah, I see." Walking around the garden. 

Prince Reyn starts to walk around the garden, feeling the precious leaves and fruit that grow of the plants and trees saying, "for the north, your stuff grows better." 

"Really?" She says back, turning to him surprised. 

"I'm not the gardener, but back in my city my brother and I would plant all the time, and my mother grew so many fruits, herbs, and vegatables, I really miss them, I even lost my father when I was eight to a disease, so not seeing the rest of my family for these few years makes it seem like they're dead too."

"Don't think that way, they are still alive and well." Her water like eyes start to tear saying, "I got bold and told them I wanted to do this because of the money we'll gain from it for my mother and brother who are all I have. I miss them badly, playing my instrument is the only thing keeping me well besides you." 

With this, Prince Reyn casually hugs her with her saying, "you are a true friend, you stopped me from the ending it all, so when I turn fifteen, I'll be be excited about it."

"You are going to make me cry, damnit." He says with watery eyes. "I'm already crying." She adds in. 

"Dae-Mi, I hope when I leave and you become a warrior, I'll see you again." 

"I hope to see you too." She says as they break apart from the hug. "We should get back inside." He says after, "yeah" She says back. 

Later that night, Prince Reyn and his family get ready to leave with everyone watching them, but Prince Reyn runs over to Dae-Mi and gives her a book and a kiss on the cheek, hugging each other and waving goodbye as the drive away from their carriage. 

That night though as Dae-Mi is crying in her room, Fi-Mei comes in looking disordered and her hair a mess saying, "ugh what now! Your ugly crying is bothering me, seriously what is wrong with you, you annoying little rascal you, go get my bathroom clean! Just because you miss Reyn doesn't mean I have to hear it, I can finally get rid of Yunie now if anything, haha." 

She lays on her bed with tears strangely filling her eyes as she lays on her royal bed like a child throwing a tantrum saying, "why are you still here!!!" 

Dae-Mi has none of it and immediately wipes her tears saying, "I'm done with you! I'm done with your family and you!" Before Fi-Mei can look up, Dae-Mi takes her sharp fan and throws it at Fi-Mei, cutting her body badly as it scraped against her, causing her to scream, but before she can say anything else and before Fi-Mei keeps fighting her, Dae-Mi takes a glass pot and slams it on her head, knocking Fi-Mei unconscious, causing the glass to break.

Dae-Mi takes the chance to secretly leave, taking her things and running away without being seen.

The next morning while outside tilling their garden, Fei calls to his mother, "mom! Mom! Dae-Mi is here!" 

Xiao stops what she is doing, running over to where she is as Fei follows her saying, "oh, she's hurt!" People in the village help Dae-Mi by bringing her in the house to let her sleep as she has passed out from lack of sleep. 

And in the noon, Dae-Mi wakes up, hair covering her face as she wakes up confused, then Fei starts saying, "you're up, mom! She's awake." Xiao runs upstairs saying, "honey..." Then Dae-Mi hugs her tightly cutting off what her mother was about to say, saying in a scared tone, "I don't want them to find me, I..." 

"Here come downstairs, I made some tea, and we need to talk of course." 

They drink together with Dae-Mi saying, "they were too harsh, Fi-Mei hates me, and the other royal family kept coming, but Prince Reyn became my best friend, he even gave this book, I think it has drawings in it of me I believe, he said that I'm the warrior, a female warrior." She starts to say in an excited tone. 

"There is truth to it, one of the maids helped me with fighting along with Prince Reyn and...Prince Reyn," Her voice becomes softer, "he is so handsome and kind, I really hope I'll see him again."

Xiao rubs her head saying, "I'm sure you will honey. And I'm sure you are the warrior, but what did I tell you about going to that place!" She shouts, but it comes out playful. 

Dae-Mi lifts her head up from her mother's chest saying, "mother, If I haven't gone, how will I know that I'm a warrior?" 

"If my sister is the warrior, then you would be he coolest sister ever!" Fei yells excited. 

"Fei, that's nice but Dae, where is your charm then, I heard that crystals must come to them?" "Wait for it, I'm sure it's coming just very soon."

"Yay!" Fei adds in. 

"Quiet Fei!" His mother says to him before turning back to Dae-Mi saying, "I have to get to work, be careful sweetie." She kisses her and Fei on the forehead then she leaves.
