Cold liquid metal in the masses defended them as Tannen took one look back.

"All you all alright? This liquid metal surrounding us is another defense our predecessors used."

 "Hey, what's it doing now?" Replied Alistor.

The Gunner ignores the situation as it fires on with its shotgun. The liquid metal nullifies all the shots in its tracks.

“Time to show some offensive power. Just sit back and watch.”

Three pillars of water gush out as he concentrates his energy. The waters merged with the liquid metal as a dark aura emerged. The liquid started forming into many weapons. Giant blades, large needles, and spiked ball n chains were among the geometry the liquid impersonated. The monster hesitated for a moment.

"What is this technique? No database….Error! Error!" Confused the monster.

      The Gunner fires out everything he had at the attack. Alistor and the party witness a tidal wave of weapons being launched.

"There is no way he can avoid all that stuff," Maigashi noted.

Gunner suddenly depletes all his ammo.

“He’s out!” Auroa snapped.

      The monster suddenly does something unexpected as it leaves itself wide open. Lowering the last shield, the enemy exposed his chest piece. Energy instantly fired as a counter to clash with Tannen's attack. Most of the weapons bounced back as very few made it through to penetrate parts of the monster's body.

“Is it over?” Alistor wondered.

     The smoke cleared away. The monster was left paralyzed for the moment and down to its knees. Some needles and blades stuck on its body as circuits sparked. Tannen went down to his knees with one hand on the floor.

 "Tannen, are you ok? What happened?"  

"Nothing to worry about. My energy is just low from the use of that technique…."

     Gunner quickly was able to move an arm to fire a blast of energy from its shotgun, knocking Tannen down.

"Oh no!" Alistor hesitates as he drops to the ground.

     The worse crossed his mind as he dared to not look back. But he suddenly hears the sound of the metal pushing everything back.

"It will take more than a simple shot to finish me." Tannen breathed in a low voice. "My energy is low, so I will take a while to regain strength. Hold on…"

     Alistor quickly got right back up. Relieved, he picks up the lance, but Tannen suddenly stops him.

"No, don't use it."

"Why?' Alistor asked.

"It will take up most of your energy."

    They argued while the monster prepared to fire another round of energy from its gun. Maigashi immediately reacts ahead, firing one of his larger bolts inside the barrel of the monster's weapon.

“I had enough!”

     The shotgun it held was no more as it blew up on the monster's hand.

"What can we try to use if the Clatrus is not an option?" Questioned Alistor in curiosity.

     Tannen directed his eyes to the large hammer lying there since the beginning. He alerted their attention to the massive Tonba on the other side.

“You got to be kidding me. No way! You must be crazy. Alistor complained.

      Tannen whispers in Alistor's ears as they focus on Maigashi and Auroa, keeping the monster busy. He agreed with the plan and moments later.

     In moments, Maigashi and Auroa are both seen carrying the large hammer while Alistor distracts the Gunner monster. They felt slightly stupid holding the oversized hammer together. Maigashi complains while Auroa does his best to support Maigashi with the weight of that thing. Alistor continuously distracts the Gunner while the two move in from behind. Gunner pulls out an energy machine gun to start firing. Shots hit the floor as he stumbled before finding cover behind a statue.

"Don't think you can hide because I can do this all day." Laughed the monster.

     It fires miniature rockets from above to aim at Alistor. Auroa noticed the rockets and decided to let go of the hammer they were carrying and left all the weight on Maigashi.

“What the!” Yelled Maigashi.

     The hammer crashed down while Auroa used his whip to deflect the rockets to the monster's other weapon he was carrying. Maigashi yells at Auroa for a moment but soon later forgets as he helps him up with the massive hammer. Alistor came out of his cover as their enemy was unarmed. He charges at the monster with his blade. It laughed as it pulled out a last weapon behind its shield, revealing a rocket launcher. Alistor suddenly froze in his tracks.

"It's too late." The monster chuckled, believing victory was in his eyes. "Score one for Baronia."

“Tonba!”

     Maigashi and Auroa suddenly charged out as they yelled the word. The massive hammer impacts Gunner shattering his last shield along with the launcher. The monster was kneeling again in a beaten-up condition as Tannen hollered at Alistor to finish it.

“Here goes.” Muttered Alistor as he called out the Legendary Rose Warrior to his side.

“Rose Crown Crasher!!!”

     Sparks burst from Gunner as it twirled once before falling to the ground and exploding. The explosion sends another tremendous shockwave blowing the party back. Objects across the museum get destroyed.

“Hold on!” The spirit muttered.

     The Rose warrior catches Alistor while Maigashi and Auroa use the Tonba as a shield. The battle was over as everybody got back up. Tannen was well again as he was walking.

"You did well." Applaud Tannen. "No, we got to go after that man of wood."

     The barrier over the museum was no more as Sullivan was not to be seen.

     Meanwhile, somewhere nearby…

"How can this happen? Did they actually beat Gunner? Oh, what to do." Sullivan stuttered in panic.

     Sullivan is in a jungle with a few Baronia pawns excavating ruins where the artifact was first discovered.

 “I should be safe here for now.”

     The Baronia King suddenly contacts the commander through a communicator.

"Oh my lord, well, things didn't go according to…."

     The King interrupts.

“I know, but did you at least get that artifact?”

      He shows the artifact onscreen for the King to see for himself.

"Well, you better know what you are doing." Answered the King. "This is your last chance, Knight. I sent more than enough reinforcements already. If you can't stop these kids, I'm demoting you."

     The King ends the call as the Knight feels embarrassed again.

"I'll show you. With this artifact, I'll prove myself as a Knight piece."

     The scene transition back to the enemy base. At the Baronia fortress, everyone talks about the commander behind his back.

"Do you think he can unlock the artifact?" The doctor questioned.

     The King had doubts about his commander at the moment.

 "Hopefully, he knows what he is doing because I know about this artifact. It contains the soul of a gladiator locked away."

      Dr. Page turns his head.

“What is this Gladiator that you speak of?”  Wondered the doctor.

"Not really much. This warrior only fights for the side of good and justice."

      The King laughs with his subjects as a person from behind enters from behind the shadows.

“Kafkinator! My other Knight, glad you could join us for tea?”
