3rd POV-
'Oh Miss Believer, my pretty sleeper'
(M/n) looked at his phone again, reading the text message he received only moments ago. It was from Virgil and although it was cryptic he knew exactly what it meant.
I'm so sorry. It's been so long.

'Your twisted mind is like snow on the road'
(M/n) was speeding almost 20 miles over the limit. Snow hit his windshield and the cold was finding its way into the car. Even though he was freezing, (M/n) didn't care. His entire body had shut off, everything except for his mind that was going a mile a minute. The man ran through red lights, being lucky that it was night and no one else was out.
'Your shaking shoulders prove that it's colder,'
After what seemed like forever to him, (M/n) finally arrived to his apartment building. Double parking, he barely even locked his car before he sprinted into his building and up the stairs. He ran up 6 flights of stairs, almost collapsing, before he broke out onto the rooftop and saw him sitting on the edge.
'Inside your head than the mountain of dead."
Virgil sat on the concrete edge of the building. His purple jacket the only thing keeping him from the cold. Running, (M/n) started taking off his own thick jacket to cover the short male. "Virgil? What were you doing?" He shouted angrily, even though he only felt scared and confused.
"I will tell you,"
The brunette's dark eyes moved to the larger figure beside him. Dark bags under his eyes and tear streaks that ran down his pink tinted cheeks. "(M-m/n)?" He whimpered out, his eyes distant and confused. Just then, the glint of a glass bottle could be seen. It was already half empty.
"I love you~,"
(M/n) wrapped his jacket around Virgil and picked him up bridle style, the bottle falling to the snow covered ground. The silence was suffocating as the (color)-ette carried the anxious boy down to their shared apartment. Virgil refuses to meet his eyes the whole way down.
Once inside the apartment, the two traveled to the bedroom where Virgil was sat and tucked into bed. Caressing his cheek, the skin felt cold to the touch. Almost feeling ice cold. "Virgil," (M/n) pushed trying to think of words, "Why?" It was so little words, but it was all that would come out of his mouth.
"But, the muffs on your ears,"
A choked sob escaped his pale, blue tinted lips. "I... I just.." Another shakes breath emitted from his body, tears starting to stream down his cheeks once more, "It's been so long since my mind's been silent (M/n)." The tall (color) haired man sat next to him, holding his small freezing frame. "I just wanted my mind to be quiet."
"will cater your fears."
Silent sobs rang through the bedroom as hands clutched onto the shirt, becoming covered with salty tears. Rubbing one hand on his back and the other through the brown hair of the man he loved. Pulling his face up, (M/n) connected his lips with Virgil's. It was passionate, but gentle with love. "I'll help fight the thoughts in your head. But, please. Please don't take your life away from me." He spoke, almost not audible.
