Considering I was in a chain of homeschool threats wreaking chaos throughout my school would be somewhat difficult. So I had to find a way to wreak chaos from the shadows, but in a school where light fills every corner, the shadows are nowhere to be found, *eye roll*.
As I walk through the hallways of this radiant school I notice a room the light doesn't quite touch. I instantly yell in my head excitedly "My shadow!" I briskly open the door and it's a run-down broadcasting room. For a second I felt sad but as I was making my way to the door I remembered one of my favorite high school movies Radio Rebel. The room seemed to be filled with light as I embrace my destiny. Basically, radio rebel was about a girl doing podcasts on her school or something but no one knew who she was and I needed to follow in her footsteps. So I bolt to my locker and got an empty notebook and made plans.
My top priority is my identity, no one and I mean no one could know who I was. We all know that in movies the rich ones are the betrayers.
"Keep your friends closer and your enemies even closer" I always say *wink*.
I had to find a diamond in the rough preferably a person who was here on a scholarship and wasn't getting bullied. I was in luck it had only been two days since freshman year had started so there was hope. Then I needed a secure place to house my podcast equipment, one where mom wouldn't see or any outside prying eyes. I also needed permission from the principal or head of the student body either way they'd know who I was and getting someone else to do it a no-no. Once again I was stumped.
I plop my head on the table and fades into this defeated feeling until my eyes and ears begin to focus on the guy getting beaten up. I react right after hearing the words "nerd" and "peasant". I rush to his rescue in hopes of him being my diamond in the rough. He was getting beaten up by three buff dudes. First, I grab the one in the middle shoulder and slides in front of them to shield this kid. I stare at them for a good while with my hands in front of my skirt and my tongue rubbing my teeth. I look so cool but I was excited to the max on the inside I always wanted to stand up to a bully.
I say nothing until the bully to my left, bully two says "Freshman?" I reply "Yes.." with a slight nod and looking away.
He continues to say while he leans in "Listen, sweetheart, you have promise, you're really pretty don't mess that up by standing up for this trash kid.".
I slowly revert my attention to his direction once more and say "Oh whatever might you mean? What promise?".
Before he spoke could answer me.
Bully one to my front held their chests "Not... today boys.".
They walk off and I yell "My name is Cleo, it was a pleasure to meet you!" *waves vigorously*.
They turn around to look at me then look at each other and laugh. I then sigh and turn around to meet my first friend who was out cold on the floor, welp you gotta do what you gotta do. In hopes of him being a scholar, I grab him and his stuff and takes him to the Nurse's office.
The nurse says "He fainted from shock and with a little rest he should be ok".
I sat beside him pondering "They make it look so easy in the movies. Well, they only have a few hours I have a few years so I guess I'll put up with this a little longer.". sigh
As I wait for him to wake up, an announcement was made "All students who wish to be apart of this year's student council please come to the front desk for application sheets." then he repeated himself. My face then makes an expression I never knew I could make. What was this I asked myself excitement? Phycoticness? Or a brilliant idea? I do hope it's not Psychotic-ness cause that'll be too much.
