Mother started talking to herself again, she picked up her bag then dropped it again. 

“Mother, what did you mean by 'last time’?” I asked with utter fear. I couldn't understand anything and to be honest i didn't want to. Is this the end of NOLLA? I am still young (15 in human age). I haven't even achieved any of my dreams yet!

"You wouldn't understand, it happened before you rascals were even born! But it is something that I definitely don't want to remember." Mom finished off, waving her hand to dismiss the conversation and walking off to the kitchen. If there is anything that I do know about mother is her way of always hiding things. I hardly know anything about her. It's only the little things like, her favourite colour, favourite dish, or how she hates her children (especially me). It's not like I don't ask her or try to ask her, she is just scary and unapproachable.

RING RING!

The doorbell rang. I rushed to the tiny living room window to see who it was. Space Soldiers!? How is that remotely possible? Soldiers don't just appear in front of people's homes.
"Scooch over,” said Xion, pushing me to the side, we were both now staring at the two soldiers with huge fire guns attached to their arms. I never liked soldiers, maybe it's because of how mother portrayed them. Rude, killing bastards with faces as blank as their hearts. She wasn't wrong, their faces really were blank... like little dolls. Actually, it looked more like their faces were sucked in. Almost like a dark hole, that was more evident when they looked straight at us through the window.

“AH SHIT!” We both shrieked at the sudden glance at us. They knocked this time. It grew louder and louder. 

“I have to tell mum, go to your room and stay there!” I rushed to my room as soon as my brother had said that. So what they said was true? I thought it was just a hoax but this is as real as it gets. I must say my last wishes before they find me and make me explode into little alien pieces.

BAM!

There went our door, this is really the end. I had my hand over my mouth while I was lying under my bed and my eyes closed. Were mother and Xion save from those scary killing monsters? It's too scary, I'm gonna cry. None of it made any sense, weren't soldiers supposed to save the citizens or was that all a lie. My whole life has been a lie. I haven't even gone to school let alone finish it.

What on NOLLA is happening right now?! It sounded like it came from the kitchen, were they hurting mother and Xion. Oh please let this not be the end. I can't die now. There is no way this is the end.

I slowly opened my teary eyes. There was a long, long silence. And then there was my mother.

"Fucking imbeciles! Tryna take the only family I have left! I worked hard to even make it this far!” I think I almost felt my heart coming out of my body after that. Was that mother? Or was that my imagination? 

Without even thinking about it anymore, I got out of my bed and ran straight to the kitchen where I saw two bloody space soldiers, with exploded heads, lying pale on the floor, Xion holding mother and mother holding the same fire guns that were attached to the soldiers arms.
