"Hey, Bryle!" called Leloux.
After hearing that expected call, Bryle just continued to walk, trying to ignore Leloux who's coming after him. It's just been days since Leloux transferred to the university but then looks like he's already attached with Bryle. But on the other hand, Bryle doesn't want to be friendly with him since he's already famous within just a short span of time. Having a famous friend won't solve his problems so he might ignore him for good. And also, he spares no time getting involved with this situation so it's better to neglect him.
Gerard, who's always with Bryle's side, always gets so confused every time he's ignoring Leloux.
"He's calling you again. Do you really not know each oth---"
"I already said no! I don't know that creep!" Bryle shivered.
"Hey, Gerard. Help me," he continued and begged Gerard with his quivering eyes to get accommodated by his friend. It looks like he needed some help to get freed from Leloux. It's also been days since he's trying to ignore him, but no matter how hard he'd act natural, that Leloux would still annoy him.
"That's no use. I can't get involved with your affairs. But still, once he'd get exposed in public, a lot of girls will go after him. Wow, celebrity guy."
It's true. Even the time Leloux called Bryle, he'd get dragged away by a huge group of ladies. They complimented and asked him a lot of stuff that would also be the reason to make Leloux become irritated sometimes. But then, acting cool would save him for sure so that's something he always does. It's no good to show his real self even if he's in this situation or else it might ruin his purpose. So to stay on his character, he had to handle this just for the sake of their clan leader's command and for his loyalty.
Bryle then sighed, "Even so. He keeps on following me. What's wrong with---"
"Good luck, my friend," Gerard waved back at him and winked humorously as he left Bryle alone in the lobby.
Bryle left his jaw hanging as he trembled in agitation, witnessing he's being left by his friend. What if that Leloux might come back and will follow him again? Should he just advance to the police and report that someone's been following him?
Come to think of it, he couldn't do it since he doesn't know what's the real motive of that Leloux. For those previous days, Bryle gathered up the courage to not breathe a single word with Leloux, even so, how come he's still bothering him? But then, thoughts kept troubling him. What if he's just a good guy who wanted to be friends with him? Of course, he's friendly. He even captured some of the teachers and students to mean as his "buddies" within just two days.
After several minutes of walking, Bryle suddenly stopped while feeling his head ringing. It's numbing painfully and it felt like something has been rumbling inside his head, pricking his nerves. From his own perspective, the area on his view slowly twisted away and looked like it engulfed him up wholely.
"H-Huh?" Bryle unexpectedly lost his balance and collapsed. But for a second there, someone else's arms caught him swiftly.
He tried to look at the person who carried him but the figure was all blurry and his head was aching so much that he might have to close his eyes. It'd be a short glimpse, but he was certain it was a guy who caught him. Even from the stiffness of this arm, he's convinced that an influential man clutched him. Bryle in his sleep regretted not being able to identify the person's appearance and not catching the chance to thank this person properly.
"Hey, are you alright?" Leloux asked worriedly while he's trying to shake Bryle in his arms.
After receiving no response from Bryle, Leloux carried him to the infirmary room. He was so calm and fierce since nobody else was there--- not even a patient nor a nurse. It was just the two of them all alone.
"Of course you passed out since you are carrying something inside your stomach," Leloux smirked while he gently put Bryle down to the medical bed.
"Your body must be too weak to handle a human-wolf child," he whispered while grinning in a half-suppressed, scornful way.
He covered him with the blanket and he then lightly caressed him on his forehead while whispering, "The scent of that werewolf is in you, I can smell it."
After a while, he sniffed Bryle's neck as if he's thirsty for something. He then looked up and went to Bryle's ear and muttered, "Too tragic to end your life this way."
With this in mind, he put his hand onto Bryle's chest. A glowing light formed within his palm, setting it for getting ready to suck up Bryle's soul.
"You may now rest in---"
Before he was able to finish off what he was stating, a guy, unknowingly, entered the infirmary, felicitously barged in the room while bringing some of his friend's favorite snacks, "Hey! Bryle---"
The guy who went in was his friend, Gerard. After knowing Bryle was fast asleep, he was disappointed by what he just witnessed, "Hm?" He caught Leloux caressing Bryle's face the time when he stepped inside.
His expression turned into a severe one. His undiluted face while looking at Leloux was like a stare of a murderer. Leloux flinched and his reaction was a bit surprising. He suitably distanced himself from Bryle and then smiled at Gerard awkwardly.
"G-Gerard! Wh-What brings you here?" Leloux fidgeted while facing him restlessly. He could feel his cheeks burning up in such discomfort.
"Hey, I told you, right?" Gerard slowly came in, putting the bag of snacks on the table, and faced Leloux strictly, "Don't touch or lay a finger on him, didn't I say that clearly yesterday?"
Leloux looked away as if he's not listening to him.
Yesterday, when Bryle was about to go home, Gerard caught Leloux following him. He then directly confronted Leloux since he also can feel that something was off about this guy. Why does he always follow Bryle when it's already obvious that he doesn't like him in the first place?
That's when Leloux knew, his power won't work against Gerard. He couldn't suck up Gerard's soul as if he's trying to even if he did everything he could. There existed no other chances left that's why he ran away from him. It was his first time failing as the second leader of the white demon clan. It happened all because of a mere human that he appeared to be so depressed yesterday. What kind of ability does that lowly human possessed that even his power won't dare budge him?
And for the meantime, Leloux was frightened by Gerard's lethal eyes as he drew closer to him. His orbs were like a vacuum, absorbing him up forcefully. He stepped back as he trembled so unsure, meanwhile Gerard, still continued to drew closer to him.
Leloux stopped stepping back since he enlightened himself that there's nothing to be afraid of. Something was off with Gerard that even Leloux couldn't find what is it. He then gritted his teeth while looking sharply(pissed off) at Gerard.
"What's the real reason why my ability won't work on him? What's with this guy?" he thought while clenching his fists.
After suspending to step back, Gerard hit the wall to corner him and so that he won't get away from his sight. Of course, Leloux was so pissed off. He tried pushing Gerard away but unfortunately, Gerard pushed himself firmly towards Leloux for the second time. After then, Leloux was already locked up that he can't get away from Gerard. He got completely cornered by him.
"Why? You wanna run away again?" Gerard said in a husky, low tone voice while tilting his to drew closer towards Leloux's face.
